President of the Federal Republic of Germany leads a business delegation to Ho Chi Minh City

On the second day of his official visit to Vietnam, President of the Federal Republic of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier and his wife arrived in Ho Chi Minh City. At the German House, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Phan Van Mai led a delegation to meet with President Steinmeier and his wife. Accompanying the president was a delegation of German businesses seeking business opportunities with Vietnam.

In Ho Chi Minh City, President Steinmeier and the German business delegation had talks with representatives of businesses in Vietnam. The main topic was the prospects for economic and trade relations between the two countries. The leader also visited the Vietnamese-German University (VGU) and delivered a speech to students and lecturers of the school.

On the first day of his visit to Vietnam (January 23), President Steinmeier met with President Vo Van Thuong, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue. In addition, President Steinmeier also visited the Temple of Literature and met with students, teachers and labor recruitment partners to learn about the exchange of skilled labor between Vietnam and Germany.
