Organizing a festival to promote traditional culture of ethnic minorities in Dak Doa district

(Fatherland) - Dak Doa district's Ethnic Culture Festival creates conditions for ethnic people in the district to meet, exchange and strengthen solidarity.

The People's Committee of Dak Doa district (Gia Lai province) has a plan to organize the Dak Doa district Ethnic Culture Festival associated with the Pink Grass Festival and the Dak Doa district Agricultural Products Market in 2024 (hereinafter referred to as the Festival).

Accordingly, the festival is organized to contribute to preserving, promoting, introducing and promoting the traditional cultural values ​​of ethnic groups in Dak Doa district. Creating conditions for ethnic groups in the district to meet, exchange and strengthen solidarity. Through the organization of the Cultural Festival of ethnic groups in the district to promote the image, creating a premise to build a typical tourism product of the district.

The festival is expected to take place from November 23-25, 2024 at Pine Hill, Glar Commune, Dak Doa District with the participation of artisans and mass actors from 17 communes and towns in the district.

Within the framework of the festival, there will be special cultural and sports activities such as: Opening program (8:00 a.m. on November 24); Gong festival, Folk song and dance competition and traditional musical instrument performance (from 9:00 a.m. on November 24 to 11:00 a.m. on November 15); Braiding and brocade weaving competition (from 1:30 p.m. on November 24 to 11:00 a.m. on November 25); Double rice pounding competition (8:30 a.m. on November 24); "Accompanying local cultural heritage" race (6:00 a.m. on November 24); Sack jumping relay (9:00 a.m. on November 25); Display and introduction of local specialties (from 8:00 a.m. on November 24 to the end of November 25); Exhibition of outstanding typical images of Dak Doa district (8:00 a.m. on November 24); Closing program (3:00 p.m., November 25).

The Organizing Committee of Cultural and Sports Activities of Dak Doa district said that through the organization of the Cultural Festival of ethnic groups in the district in conjunction with the Pink Grass Festival and the Agricultural Products Market of the district, it also aims to promote the image and create a premise to build a typical tourism product of Dak Doa district.
