Strong friendship through the program "Cuisine for children" in Mu Cang Chai, Yen Bai

On October 27, the Embassies of Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan in Vietnam organized the event "Food for Children" for students of De Xu Phinh Primary and Secondary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities, Mu Cang Chai District, Yen Bai Province, which was affected by Typhoon Yagi in September.

The event, which commemorates the 65th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's visit to Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, is supported by Hanoi College of Commerce and Tourism, Nha Trang Bay Group and representatives of the World Barbecue Association.

The event was attended by Chairman of Yen Bai Provincial People's Committee Tran Huy Tuan and representatives of local departments and agencies, Ambassadors of Pakistan, Algeria, Mongolia and South Africa in Vietnam.

Opening the event, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Huy Tuan thanked the event organizers for the students and provided more information about the rich cultural identity of many ethnic minorities living in Yen Bai province, diverse natural resources, clean ecological environment and majestic natural landscapes of the province.

Mr. Tran Huy Tuan said that the province has the potential to open up many opportunities for cooperation, investment and development. The Chairman of the Yen Bai Provincial People's Committee emphasized that the recent storm Yagi has affected people and children, in addition to causing serious damage to the province's infrastructure.

Azerbaijani Ambassador to Vietnam Shovgi Mehdizade expressed his gratitude to the provincial leaders for their hospitality, emphasizing that the foundation of the friendly relations between the two countries was established by the historic visit of President Ho Chi Minh to Baku in 1959 and the visit of Azerbaijani leader Heydar Aliyev to Vietnam in 1983.

According to Ambassador Shovgi Mehdizade, the event was held on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's visit to Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan. This was also the first day of the historic visit of Azerbaijani leader Heydar Aliyev to Vietnam in his capacity as First Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Soviet Union on October 26, 1983.

Ambassador Shovgi Mehdizade highly appreciated the activities of Hanoi College of Commerce and Tourism and thanked the School's Board of Directors for coordinating with the Embassy to organize a culinary event for students in areas affected by Typhoon Yagi.

At the event, world-famous chef David Israfilov - representative of the World Barbecue Association - presented dishes from Azerbaijan's culinary treasure. Within the framework of the event, a cooking competition was also held with the participation of 350 students with many prizes awarded to the winners. Participating in the event, each student was also given an apron with the image of the flags of Azerbaijan and Vietnam. At the same time, many foods and school supplies were given to students at this meaningful event.
