Accordingly, the provincial leaders performed the groundbreaking ceremony for the house construction and presented many gifts to Ms. Nguyen Thi Gai's family. Ms. Gai's family is a near-poor household, in difficult circumstances, the temporary house has been lived in for many years but has not been able to build a new one. Her family was supported with 100 million VND to build a new house with an area of over 47 square meters. The Provincial Party Secretary and leaders of departments and branches encouraged the family to strive to escape poverty and stabilize their lives.

It is known that in Binh Duong province, there are about 455 households with meritorious services, poor households, and households in difficult circumstances that need support to build new or repair houses. In addition, Binh Duong was assigned to support Nghe An and Bac Lieu provinces to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses with a total budget of 90 billion VND.
The expected support level is 100 million VND/household for new house construction; in case of construction on weak ground, the maximum additional support level is not more than 20 million VND/household. Maximum support is 50 million VND/household for house renovation and repair.
In Phu Giao district alone, temporary and dilapidated houses will be demolished for 21 households with a total cost of over 2 billion VND.

Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Loi said that the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses launched by the Central Government is one of the major policies of the Party. This is a program of profound humanitarian significance that is being implemented with a spirit of urgency and has become a vibrant emulation movement throughout the country. The program aims to help poor and near-poor households settle down, stabilize their lives, work and produce with peace of mind, and gradually escape poverty sustainably. The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested that the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in the province be basically completed before June 30, 2025.
