Continue to creatively apply Ho Chi Minh's thought on promoting the human factor

President Ho Chi Minh's Testament is an extremely valuable historical document, the crystallization of the ideology, culture, wisdom, morality and noble soul of a great revolutionary leader, a great intellectual, great man and great courage. Over the past 55 years, President Ho Chi Minh's ideology and Testament have always accompanied the nation; our entire Party, people and army have always been steadfast and loyal to his revolutionary cause and ideals, successfully continuing the great revolutionary cause to which he devoted his whole life and sacrificed.

Promoting national strength

At the scientific workshop "55 years of implementing President Ho Chi Minh's Testament in Central agencies (1969 - 2024)" recently organized by the Party Committee of Central Agencies in coordination with the Office of the President, the Office of the National Assembly, the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and the Truth National Political Publishing House, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man emphasized the issue of solidarity in the Testament. In the Testament, he advised that "solidarity is an extremely precious tradition of the Party and our people". Solidarity creates strength, is the source of all successes. To build and consolidate the great national solidarity bloc, first of all, there must be unity within the entire Party. Solidarity within the Party is the premise, the nucleus of the great national solidarity bloc, the basis for promoting and combining national strength with the strength of the times, the premise for victory of the revolutionary cause. Party committees and organizations at all levels, from the Central Committee to the Party cell, each cadre and Party member must strive to "preserve the unity and consensus of the Party as if preserving the pupil of their eye"; each party member and cadre must truly imbue revolutionary ethics, truly be thrifty, honest, impartial, etc.

According to the National Assembly Chairman, thoroughly grasping and applying Ho Chi Minh's thought on solidarity and international cooperation in the new period, the Party has led the building and consistent implementation of a foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, peace, cooperation and development; multilateralization and diversification in foreign relations; proactive and active international integration; being a friend, a reliable partner and a responsible member of the international community; determined to build and develop a modern Vietnamese foreign affairs and diplomacy imbued with national identity - the "Vietnamese Bamboo" diplomatic school.

In the process of building and defending the socialist Fatherland, especially after nearly 40 years of carrying out the national renovation, thanks to promoting the strength of the entire nation, with the joint efforts and unceasing efforts of generations of cadres, party members and people of all walks of life, our country has achieved great and historic achievements. Under the leadership of the Party, our people have built our country "increasingly more dignified and beautiful" as he wished.

Human resources are the “resource of all resources”

Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Trong Lam, Director - Editor-in-Chief of the National Political Publishing House, Truth, affirmed that throughout his life of fighting for the cause of national liberation and human liberation, President Ho Chi Minh had only one "ultimate desire": to make our country completely independent, our people completely free, and everyone has the right to pursue happiness. Therefore, in his Testament, the issue of people, the ideology of people and human liberation made him worry and work hard to establish. He clearly recognized the importance of caring for and nurturing the next generation of revolutionaries for the development and strength of the Party, as well as the development of the country.

According to Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Trong Lam, in his Testament, the human issue was mentioned by President Ho Chi Minh in a profound, comprehensive and scientific manner. In particular, he pointed out a system of comprehensive solutions for each class and subject and considered the correct implementation of those solutions as the key step, deciding the success in solving the problem of promoting the human factor in the revolutionary cause of the nation - a cause that starts from the human factor, for the people, for the people and returns to the people.

Implementing President Ho Chi Minh's Testament, throughout the process of leading the revolution, our Party has always considered human resources as "the resource of all resources", an important endogenous resource that determines the success of the cause of building and defending the Fatherland. All policies and guidelines of the Party focus on nurturing and promoting the human factor on the basis of ensuring fairness and equality in rights and obligations of citizens; promoting all potentials and strengths of people. The Party always affirms and emphasizes the particularly important role of promoting the human factor, developing people comprehensively, meeting the requirements of the current national renovation.

Realizing the viewpoints and policies of the Party and State, after nearly 40 years of renovation, Vietnam has achieved important achievements in human development, highly appreciated by the international community. However, besides the great achievements, the promotion of human factors still has many shortcomings and limitations. In particular, the degradation of political ideology, ethics, and lifestyle of a large number of cadres and party members; corruption, waste, and negativity are still serious. The implementation of the comprehensive human development policy still has many shortcomings, resources for human development are limited, the gap between rich and poor, the unemployment rate in rural areas tends to increase... have been and are negatively affecting the development goals chosen by our Party and people.

Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Trong Lam emphasized that continuing to creatively apply Ho Chi Minh's thought on promoting the human factor, arousing and promoting all resources and creative potential of the people, creating a combined strength to build and develop the country is an inevitable and urgent requirement in the coming years.
