BTO - Since 1995, Binh Thuan province has issued 5 Resolutions on tourism development, which shows that tourism is one of the industries with an important position and role in the socio-economic development of the province. At the same time, the Resolution of the 14th Provincial Party Congress also identified tourism as one of the 3 pillars of the province's economic sector.
In the development strategy of Binh Thuan province, tourism is a key economic sector and one of the three economic pillars of the province. To achieve that goal, the Provincial Party Committee has issued Resolution 06 on tourism development to 2025, with a vision to 2030. Since the implementation of Resolution 06, the awareness of all levels, sectors, officials and people about the role of the tourism industry has been raised, and there have been efforts and determination to develop the province's tourism industry quite comprehensively and effectively. To date, the province has more than 382 tourism projects approved for investment that are still in effect, with a total land area of 6,031 hectares and a total registered investment capital of 74,296 billion VND. There are 193 tourism projects that have come into operation. The province has also attracted and called for strategic, experienced and financially capable investors to invest in many projects, including a series of apartments, hotels, resort villas... increasing by more than 4,000 rooms with 3-star quality and equivalent or higher. It must be affirmed that Binh Thuan tourism plays a very important role in the socio-economic development of the province. Therefore, in the past 30 years, the province has issued 5 Resolutions on tourism. Resolution 06 inherits the viewpoints, goals, tasks and solutions of previous resolutions with the goal of striving to raise the status of Binh Thuan tourism, attracting more tourists to the province, staying longer, using more services, returning more times... The Resolution on tourism development to 2025, with a vision to 2030, also sets the target of welcoming 16 million visitors/year by 2030, of which international visitors account for 15 - 20%; revenue from tourism activities reaches 63,000 billion VND, with an average growth rate of 20 - 22%/year in the period 2026 - 2030, tourism contributes 12 - 13% to the province's GRDP and creates about 190,000 jobs. Mui Ne National Tourist Area becomes one of the leading green destinations in the Asia - Pacific region. The province's viewpoint is to develop sustainable tourism, associated with environmental protection, disease prevention, preservation of national cultural identity and increasing people's income. At the same time, continue to implement the goal of developing tourism into a spearhead economic sector, one of the three pillars of socio-economic development of the province. Build Mui Ne National Tourist Area to become one of the leading destinations in the Asia-Pacific region, creating momentum to spread to other areas in the province. To develop tourism in the coming time according to the above orientation, the tourism industry of the province said it will continue to coordinate with relevant departments, sectors and localities to develop a variety of types of services for tourists, create conditions and encourage businesses to invest in improving the quality of services, accommodation facilities, new tourism products, and improving professionalism in serving customers to ensure quality, reputation and brand. Implement well the solutions to promote and advertise tourism, maintain the image of a "Safe - friendly - attractive - quality" destination. Urge and facilitate the implementation of tourism - trade - service complex projects, creating momentum for tourism development in the province. In particular, strengthen management, improve the quality of tourism products, ensure the quality of customer services, build the image of a safe and friendly destination, research and apply science and technology in promotion. Focus on removing difficulties and obstacles, promoting administrative procedure reform, creating favorable conditions for people and businesses, and increasing investment attraction in the tourism sector. All levels, sectors and localities continue to closely follow the viewpoints, goals, tasks and main solutions in Resolution 06 for effective implementation. In particular, focusing on attracting investment, managing industry development according to planning, calling for capable, experienced and dedicated investors to implement projects in the province, resolutely withdrawing projects that are not implemented or are implemented slowly. Focusing on investing in completing the infrastructure system to serve tourism development, especially expanding the road traffic system and connecting to key tourist areas and destinations in the area.
At the same time, increase investment calls to develop new types of tourism, integrated tourism areas, shopping centers, large-scale entertainment tourism projects, encourage and support investors and tourism projects to improve quality, in order to attract tourists to Binh Thuan for longer periods. Pay attention to building and beautifying urban and rural areas to be increasingly clean, modern, civilized and Binh Thuan people to be friendly and hospitable...
