The DH.95 route through Thuy Dan commune is over 3km long. When upgrading and expanding, it is necessary to reclaim over 6,900m2 of land from dozens of households. Mr. Le Thanh Buong, Deputy Secretary of the Commune Party Committee, said: The Party Committee has issued a specialized resolution focusing on promoting site clearance to promptly hand over the construction site for the road, in which the commune's mass mobilization bloc is assigned to be in charge of propaganda and mobilizing people to agree with the policy and voluntarily donate land to expand the road. Comrades in the commune's mass mobilization bloc directly go to each residential area to coordinate with the Party Committee and village authorities to propagate and mobilize people to clearly see the benefits and importance of the road after completion. In particular, we also promote the exemplary role of cadres and Party members in voluntarily donating land to expand the road, thereby creating a strong spread in the community and receiving consensus and enthusiastic response from the people.
Mr. Nguyen Duc Thang, Party cell of Vong Lo village shared: This road was previously narrow, the road surface was only 3.5m wide and had degraded, making it difficult to travel and trade. Therefore, when there was a policy to invest in upgrading and expanding the road, I donated all of my family's agricultural land that the road passed through (nearly 540m2 ) to build the road, and at the same time mobilized people in the village to donate land to build the road. Thanks to good propaganda and mobilization work, in just 3 months, the commune completed the site clearance and handed it over to the construction unit.
According to Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the commune Le Thanh Buong, the construction process of the entire lighting system was discussed and completed by households on both sides of the road. The local Party Committee and authorities, directly the mass mobilization bloc of the Party Committee of the commune, went to each residential area to do propaganda work, mobilizing people to voluntarily contribute to the construction of a synchronous lighting system. After 4 months of propaganda and mobilization work, 9 residential areas with 116 households have erected 93 electric poles along the road with a total cost of 150 million VND, helping people to travel at night more conveniently, while contributing to reducing traffic accidents as well as social evils. Also in the past time, the villages in the commune have done a good job of socialization to invest in upgrading the lighting system in residential areas.
Mr. Le Minh Nguyet, Party Secretary of An Tiem 1 village, said: Previously, the village's lighting system mainly used compact light bulbs. Recently, the village's Party Committee and government have focused on mobilizing resources from the people to upgrade the village's lighting system with a system of poles and lines and replace all 185 compact light bulbs with LED bulbs to increase lighting efficiency with a total cost of 124 million VND. Up to now, all 38 roads in 5 residential areas with a length of 15.6km in Thuy Dan commune have been installed with LED lighting systems. The installation costs are all socialized, with people contributing to the construction.
Thanks to the skillful propaganda and mobilization work, the Party Committee and the government of Thuy Dan commune have promoted their internal strength and mobilized people to participate in the socio-economic development of the locality. The tasks from the beginning of the term until now have been completed well. Despite many difficulties, the local economy has maintained a fairly good growth momentum, and people are active and creative in economic development. The average income of the people is currently 68.5 million VND/year. The commune has 4 villages that have completed the construction of model village cultural houses. 5/5 villages have achieved the title of cultural village. Many local welfare works have been invested in and built with socialized resources such as the Martyrs' Temple, 2-storey medical examination and treatment house, village cultural houses, upgrading lighting lines, building river embankments, pouring concrete on roadside, building drainage ditches... with a total cost of tens of billions of VND. Thanks to that, the appearance of the countryside has become increasingly spacious and renewed; the material and spiritual life of the people has been constantly improved.
