As of April 9, Hung Ha district has 339 poor and near-poor households that are eligible and in need of building new and repairing houses; of which 224/226 households building new houses have started construction, 100% of households repairing houses have basically completed the project. The district has 141 households of meritorious people and martyrs' relatives that are eligible and in need of building new and repairing houses. To date, 96/141 houses have started construction and repaired. Joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for poor and near-poor households, improving housing for people with meritorious services and martyrs' relatives, in addition to the province's support, Hung Ha district has launched emulation movements, mobilizing agencies, units, organizations and individuals to actively participate, contribute, support and assist in many forms such as supporting funding, construction materials, helping workers, supporting the spirit to help households start construction and repair houses to ensure the plan and progress set out.
At the meeting, delegates discussed and contributed ideas on solutions to mobilize resources, review and verify, ensure the right subjects, speed up implementation progress, improve the quality and effectiveness of project implementation in Hung Ha district in particular and the whole province in general.

Concluding the working session, Comrade Nguyen Khac Than, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee acknowledged the efforts of all levels, sectors and people in the province in general and Hung Ha district in particular in implementing the work of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in the past time. Emphasizing that the work of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses for poor and near-poor households and improving housing for policy families is a particularly important political task with profound humanity, the Provincial Party Secretary requested Hung Ha district and other districts and cities in the province to continue promoting the achieved results, focusing on reviewing and making the highest efforts to complete the construction and repair of 100% of housing projects for poor and near-poor households and policy families in the area before June 20, contributing to the province's organization of a summary of the work of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses before June 25.
To achieve this goal, the Provincial Party Secretary and Head of the Provincial Steering Committee requested the Provincial People's Committee and relevant departments and branches to urgently complete the approval of the list of additional poor households, near-poor households, households with meritorious services, and martyrs' relatives eligible for support according to Decision No. 55/QD-BXD dated January 20, 2025 of the Ministry of Construction on guidelines for criteria for temporary and dilapidated houses, in which Hung Ha district and districts and cities are responsible for reviewing, checking, and comparing to ensure the correct subjects and meeting the prescribed conditions. The whole province ensures that 100% of new construction and housing repair projects for poor, near-poor households and policy families are started before April 15. He also requested Hung Ha district to assign responsibilities to communes and towns to closely monitor, urge, support, and help each household during the implementation process, ensuring the correct progress and quality of the project. The Department of Home Affairs monitors, synthesizes, and updates weekly the progress of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses for the subjects. The home affairs and finance sectors must prioritize, fully and promptly allocate resources to achieve the goal of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses. Members of the Provincial Steering Committee, leaders of sectors and localities must strengthen inspection, supervision, urging, and drastic participation, ensuring the progress and quality of the works, striving to soon complete the task of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses according to the schedule and plan set by the province, helping families in difficult circumstances and policy families to soon enjoy social security policies, stabilize and improve the quality of life.
Regarding some key tasks in the coming time, the Provincial Party Secretary and Head of the Provincial Steering Committee suggested that Hung Ha district should strengthen and tighten land management; speed up the progress of land use rights auctions to increase local budget revenue; resolutely implement to speed up the progress of site clearance for projects and works in the area to ensure the right progress. At the same time, the district needs to strengthen propaganda work, raise awareness, create consensus among all classes of people on the policy of implementing the merger of provinces, not organizing at the district level, continuing to merge commune-level administrative units.
