Provincial People's Council Standing Committee held December session

Comrade Lo Van Phuong, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council chaired the meeting.

Delegates attending the meeting highly agreed with the draft report on the assessment and experience of the 13th session of the 15th Provincial People's Council, term 2021-2026. At the session, the Provincial People's Council passed 30 important resolutions with a high percentage of votes in favor. The review and completion of the resolutions after the session was directed by the Provincial People's Council to relevant agencies and units to complete for implementation in the locality to ensure compliance with the prescribed time.

Regarding the content of issuing policies to support the development of agricultural, forestry and fishery production to restructure the agricultural sector in the province (replacing Resolution 05/2018/NQ-HDND dated December 7, 2018), it is proposed to withdraw and not submit at the meeting. This is a content that requires time to study in order to come up with appropriate and effective support policies. The Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council has proposed to implement interest rate support for people to borrow through the social policy bank. At the same time, the Provincial People's Committee is assigned to continue to collect opinions from localities and complete the policy to submit to the Provincial People's Council.

At the meeting, delegates agreed with the report on the results of the reception and working session between the Standing Committee of the Dien Bien Provincial People's Council and the delegations of the People's Councils of the three provinces of Phoong Sa Ly, Udomxay, and Luang Prabang (Lao PDR). The meeting unanimously approved the plan to implement the 2024 Monitoring Program of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council.
