In the period of 2021 - 2024, Dien Bien Dong District Police discovered 424 cases, arrested 494 subjects (of which 27 cases were clarified, 31 subjects were arrested for social order crimes; 357 cases, 421 subjects were arrested for drug crimes). Dien Bien Dong District People's Court accepted 349 cases with 424 defendants, of which 100% were resolved. Investigation and handling of crimes ensure the right people, the right crimes; no wrongful convictions or missed crimes.
Regarding the work of criminal judgment execution (CJ) and judicial support, the District Police's enforcement agency has executed 314 decisions on execution of prison sentences, ensuring absolute safety according to the provisions of law; at the same time, it has conducted 32 inspections, guidance, and urging of commune-level police in the work of CJ and community reintegration. The District Police have admitted 482 subjects to temporary detention, escorted 425 subjects to trial in court, and transferred 407 subjects to serve their sentences at the Ministry of Public Security's detention camps.
Regarding the enforcement of civil judgments, 569 cases were handled, of which 517 cases were completed, reaching a rate of 99%. The District Police Department's Enforcement Agency implemented the prisoner's regime of contacting, meeting, and receiving gifts according to regulations; proposed conditional early release from prison and the Provincial People's Court issued a decision on conditional early release from prison for 1 prisoner. During the period, the District Police Department's Enforcement Agency received 5 decisions on conditional early release from prison; issued 3 certificates of completion of prison sentences for people released from prison on conditional early release...
After directly supervising, listening to reports and opinions of district leaders and prosecution agencies on compliance with the law in criminal trials, criminal and civil judgment execution in the area, comrade Giang Thi Hoa acknowledged that Dien Bien Dong district has performed well in prosecution activities, ensuring human rights. Crime prevention and control, security and order protection, and social safety have been ensured.
