Entering the September 2 holiday, many players of the SLNA Youth Training Center had to borrow money from friends and coaches to return home. Information that the SLNA youth team owed player allowances for the first 8 months of 2023 spread on social media in recent days. Some players even intended to quit football to go to work or work abroad.
According to VTC News, SLNA Club has encountered difficulties in spending for the youth team. This amount is paid by the Department of Culture and Sports of Nghe An province. However, since the beginning of this year, the Nghe An team has only received about 10 billion VND. This amount of money arrived in the team's account on August 31, close to the holiday, so the club did not have time to process it to pay the player's allowance.
U15 SLNA is the runner-up of the 2023 National U15 tournament.
In the first 8 months of 2023, SLNA Club will seek other sources to raise about 20 billion VND to maintain the operation of the SLNA Youth Training Center. This is the amount of money the team will pay for player allowances such as food, transportation, study, living, etc.
Regarding the allowance of 2 million VND/month for each young player, the club has not had a source of payment in the past time. After the end of the holiday, SLNA's board of directors has just disbursed the money they just received to pay about 50% of the allowance for the first 8 months of the year.
The funding for training young players of SLNA Club is taken from the annual budget of Nghe An province, approved at the mid-year meeting of the Provincial People's Council. This figure is about 30 billion VND.
