I want to become a brave man, to support my mother and take care of my siblings". Van Thuc revealed that his father passed away before the university entrance exam. He was very sad, but the thought of having to replace his father to support the family" urged the young man from Thanh Hoa to be even stronger.

After 4 years of competition, Thuc and his teammates have won many championships, and he himself has won many individual titles (top scorer, best player). However, the 2025 season is the first time Nguyen Van Thuc and the Thanh Hoa University of Culture, Sports and Tourism team have competed in the TNSV VN. Therefore, the 22-year-old striker and his teammates are eager to show their abilities. Van Thuc was also the first penalty kicker, opening the final victory for coach Nguyen Cong Thanh and his team against the Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry in the semi-finals. Now, the Thanh Hoa team has come very close to the championship, having registered for the final match. "We set a goal of winning the championship.
