On October 7, at the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the People's Police Sports Association (Ministry of Public Security) and the Vietnam-Japan International Exchange Organization (FAVIJA).

At the signing ceremony, Lieutenant General Nguyen Ngoc Toan, Director of the Department of Party and Political Affairs, Ministry of Public Security expressed his hope that FAVIJA will become a bridge between the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam in general, the People's Public Security Sports Association in particular, and Japanese partners in the field of physical education and sports so that public security sports will be increasingly promoted and raised to a new level, contributing to the peace, stability and development of the two countries.
Also attending the ceremony, Ambassador of the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan - Nguyen Duc Minh expressed that the signing ceremony will bring many good opportunities for the two sides to exchange important messages on specialized cooperation in the field of physical education and sports. From there, it will contribute to deepening the bilateral relationship between Vietnam and Japan, making it more practical, effective and further strengthening the good coordination relationship.

Mr. Do Quang Ba, Chairman of FAVIJA said: “To prepare for the working session between the two sides, FAVIJA had direct and online meetings and working sessions with professors of the sports health department, Jutendo University, the Japanese National Police Agency, Japanese cultural agencies, and Japanese sports training and coaching centers to propose cooperation contents between the two sides. FAVIJA received positive feedback and Japanese partners expressed their goodwill towards the cooperation contents”.
According to the signed minutes, in the coming time, the two sides will build a cooperation program in the field of sports. Specifically: exchanging delegations, providing necessary information and supporting necessary administrative procedures for delegations and experts of both sides during the time participating in activities organized by the other side.

FAVIJA supports the People's Public Security Sports Association to cooperate with Japanese agencies, units and organizations to promote and develop the following sports: karate, jujitsu, athletics and table tennis; establish training, coaching, competition and performance programs in Japan and Vietnam.
In addition, strengthen cooperation in organizing annual mass sports activities, friendly sports events between FAVIJA and the People's Police Sports Association. In particular, coordinate with the parties to organize sports exchange programs such as: football, volleyball and karate tournaments between the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam, the People's Police Sports Association of Vietnam with the National Police Agency of Japan or Japanese Police Departments.

At the same time, contact and introduce reputable units to organize training and improve the skills of the People's Public Security Table Tennis Team in Japan in 2025. Introduce scholarship programs for coaches and athletes of the People's Public Security in particular, and students of the People's Public Security in general to promote and spread Vietnamese and Japanese culture in each country.
