Thuan Nam: Determined to complete the mission in 2024

In the context of many difficulties, challenges, and unfavorable weather conditions, the socio-economic, defense, and security situation in the first 6 months of 2024 in Thuan Nam district continued to maintain stability and development.

Notably, the state budget collection reached 43.9 billion VND, reaching 61% of the provincial estimate; 57% of the district estimate, exceeding 46% over the same period; forest coverage reached 43.44%; waste collection and treatment in residential areas reached 100%; military recruitment reached 100% according to the provincial target. Social security policies were fully and promptly implemented. National target programs were focused on. Land management, construction order, mineral resources, and site clearance were strengthened, especially the mobilization and handover of sites at key traffic projects.

Comrade Truong Xuan Vy, Chairman of Thuan Nam District People's Committee, said: The above results were achieved thanks to the timely attention, direction and support of the province; the close leadership of the District Party Committee and People's Council; the spirit of solidarity and high determination of the staff and Party members in the whole district and the trust and active support of the people and business community. To carry out the tasks of 2024, right from the beginning of the year, Thuan Nam District People's Committee proactively set out 70 main tasks, 20 key tasks and 10 breakthrough tasks in various fields to focus on implementation. During the implementation process, the district was proactive and flexible in direction and operation; focused on implementation, with a specific roadmap and clear assignment of tasks and responsibilities, especially the responsibility of the head. At the same time, strengthen inspection and handling work; organize thematic conferences in various fields; focus on handling long-standing issues and newly arising issues.

On the other hand, the District People's Committee has directed all levels and sectors to complete synchronous infrastructure, meet the requirements of developing key sectors, create new breakthroughs; focus on prioritizing the development of key sectors and fields, breakthroughs, with room for consolidation and development of new growth drivers; remove difficulties and obstacles for people and businesses; focus on comprehensive and synchronous development of cultural sectors, ensure social security, improve people's lives. Strictly manage and effectively use land, resources, protect the environment. Strengthen the prevention and fight against corruption and negativity. Strengthen national defense and security, ensure social order and safety.

To complete the political tasks of 2024, in the last 6 months of the year, the People's Committee of Thuan Nam district continues to direct all levels and sectors to make efforts to synchronously and effectively implement the proposed groups of tasks and solutions. In particular, focusing on completing the planning work and submitting to competent authorities for approval the adjustment of the Master Plan for the construction of the administrative center and urban-industrial complex of Thuan Nam until 2040; Planning of Thuan Nam district, Ninh Thuan province until 2030; planning of new rural areas of communes...; determined to disburse all public investment capital in 2024 and capital of 3 national target programs. At the same time, prepare to review and develop a public investment plan for 2025. In addition, the district speeds up the progress of site clearance for key projects such as: Road connecting the expressway with National Highway 1 and Ca Na Industrial Park, Dam Ca Na New Urban Area; Conduct land use planning for 2025, land recovery list for 2025 as a basis for project implementation. Urge tax collection, strengthen tax inspection and examination, review collection of outstanding tax debts; implement solutions to increase land use fee collection, land auctions... according to plan to ensure budget collection task for 2024.

Proactively guide people to take care of summer-autumn crops and monitor weather developments to implement the 2024 crop in conjunction with restructuring crops and large fields; support, guide, and create conditions for fishermen to go offshore to exploit the Southern fish season; review, investigate, and evaluate the results of new rural construction and the OCOP program in 2024.

Strengthen inspection and strictly handle cases of illegal exploitation of mineral resources and land encroachment, construction order, especially in areas where projects are being implemented. Inspect and supervise land use according to approved planning and plans. Complete the resolution of inspection conclusions, decisions on handling complaints, and administrative sanctions related to land of the central, provincial, and district levels. At the same time, continue to implement solutions to remove difficulties and support businesses according to the general direction of the Government and the Provincial People's Committee; implement tasks to develop the Southern key economic zone of the province until 2025, with a vision to 2030 according to Resolution No. 15-NQ/TU dated January 11, 2022 of the Provincial Party Committee...

Comrade Truong Xuan Vy, Chairman of Thuan Nam District People's Committee, emphasized: The remaining tasks in 2024 are very heavy. However, with the spirit of "3 more": Higher determination, greater effort, more drastic action, Thuan Nam district will successfully complete the assigned tasks, practically making achievements to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the re-establishment of Thuan Nam district 2009-2024.
