Prime Minister concludes exciting and memorable visit to China

During the 4 days, with a busy schedule, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh participated in many important and effective activities with many highlights at the 2024 World Economic Forum (WEF) Pioneers Annual Meeting and bilateral talks, meetings, and working sessions with the Chinese side.

Responding to the press about the Prime Minister's working trip to attend the WEF Dalian Conference and work in China from June 24-27, Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son affirmed that the Prime Minister's working trip was a great success, a practical step in implementing the foreign policy of the 13th National Party Congress, Directive 25 of the Politburo on Enhancing multilateral diplomacy and the common perception of senior leaders of Vietnam and China in the spirit of the Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership, building a "Vietnam-China Community of Shared Future of Strategic Significance".

Regarding the WEF Dalian Conference, the Vietnamese delegation left outstanding impressions. The host country China as well as the Conference Organizing Committee expressed their respect and high appreciation for the role and position of Vietnam. At this Conference, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the Vietnamese high-ranking delegation brought many important messages to the port city of Dalian, both at the Conference and in meetings with partners.

According to Minister Bui Thanh Son, with the highlight being a special speech at the Plenary Opening Session, in front of about 1,700 guests from 80 countries, the Prime Minister shared Vietnam's inspiring story of Innovation, Integration and Development. The Prime Minister also conveyed profound and clear messages about the outstanding achievements in socio-economic development, the policies, visions and strategic orientations for national development of the Party and State of Vietnam. Through this, we also affirm the role and position of Vietnam in the international arena.

The Minister also reviewed the Prime Minister's profound views on the current and future world, proposing to work together to build and strengthen trust, promote dialogue, and have a new approach and mindset for global cooperation. The Prime Minister emphasized the need to promote science and innovation to create new growth drivers through institutional and policy building; mobilize resources and international cooperation while focusing on training human resources for the future.

Within the framework of the Conference, the Prime Minister also had open, sincere and in-depth exchanges with partners and businesses, demonstrating Vietnam's spirit of innovation and determination in transforming the growth model, creating a favorable environment for investors. Founder and Executive Chairman of WEF Klaus Schwab praised Vietnam as a dynamic economy, a beacon of economic development and a growth engine of the region.

The Prime Minister's sharing was highly appreciated by the business community partners, expressed through their excitement, interest, and desire to invest and do business in Vietnam, especially in new sectors. The atmosphere of the discussions was very exciting and enthusiastic, promising many opportunities to expand and establish partnerships, investment, and production in Vietnam.

Minister Bui Thanh Son also emphasized that Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh had a very rich bilateral program, including meetings and talks with General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping, Premier of the State Council Li Qiang, Chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference Wang Huning; together with Politburo member and Vice Premier of the State Council of China Zhang Guoqing attended and spoke at the "Vietnam - China Cooperation Conference on Strategic Transport Infrastructure Development and the Role of Vietnamese - Chinese Enterprises"; received leaders of several large Chinese corporations and enterprises; met with officials and staff of the Embassy and Vietnamese representative agencies in China. During the working trip, the Ministers and members of the delegation also had meetings and worked with their Chinese counterparts. The delegation's activities were successful, achieving the set requirements and goals.

The results and significance of the talks and meetings with senior Chinese leaders are clearly demonstrated in four aspects:

Firstly, maintain regular high-level strategic exchanges between the two Parties and two countries, consolidate and enhance political trust between the two sides, and promote an important guiding role in the development of bilateral relations.

Second, based on the review and overall assessment of the cooperation situation in recent times, the two sides have in-depth discussions and agreed on specific directions and measures to promote cooperation in various fields in the coming time.

Third, continuously consolidate a solid social foundation for the development of bilateral relations.

Fourth is to handle disagreements properly and together maintain a peaceful and stable environment.
