On November 21, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST) held a conference to implement Prime Minister's Directive 30 on developing Vietnam's cultural industries in Da Nang.
At the conference, Mr. Ho An Phong, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, assessed that in the world, cultural industries tend to develop strongly, creating competition, contributing positively to socio-economic development, and positioning the national brand.
“Material life is developing, no matter how rich people are, no one can drive two cars at the same time, sleep in two beds at the same time, or eat too many meals a day. The demand for cultural and spiritual life is very large, which opens up a lot of room for cultural industry,” said the Deputy Minister.
According to Deputy Minister Ho An Phong, the potential for cultural industry in Vietnam is huge, but the key is to change the way of doing things. Especially in the new era, the era of creative striving, there needs to be change, ideas and daring to do.
Mr. Phong cited the concert Anh trai vu ngan cong gai (The Brother Who Overcame a Thousand Difficulties) performed by only Vietnamese people, but recently in Ho Chi Minh City, many people bought tickets and the prices were not cheap. The show will soon take place in Hung Yen, but currently there are no tickets available for purchase.
“Even the Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hung Yen, who is the one who grants the license, cannot buy tickets. Tickets cost about 8 million VND but cannot be bought while all the performers are Vietnamese and the content of the program is unknown. The economic and cultural needs are real, very attractive, and there is a lot of room for improvement,” the Deputy Minister emphasized.
Website crash, tickets sold out for 2 'Brother' concerts, strange things are happening in Vietnamese showbiz . Vietnamese showbiz is witnessing an unprecedented thing when domestic concerts of "Brothers" are sold out, the system crashes while K-Pop music festivals are continuously canceled close to the show date due to lack of customers.
