Dear Women in Information and Communications,

We in Vietnam have 2 days to honor and show gratitude to Women. I don't know if any other country has 2 more days. The affection that our people and men have for Women is also greater. Perhaps it is because Vietnamese Women sacrifice more.

Women in the Information and Communications industry have a combination of the gentle, loving nature of Vietnamese women and the traditional qualities of the industry: Loyalty, Courage, Dedication, Creativity and Kindness. This combination helps women in the Information and Communications industry to fulfill their tasks well in their agencies and units while still keeping the fire burning in their small homes, educating the spirit of creativity, and promoting traditions for future generations.

On this very special day, International Women's Day March 8, I would like to send my deepest gratitude to all female civil servants, public employees, and workers in the Information and Communications sector for their important contributions to the development of the sector and the country. The achievements that you have made are not only a source of pride for you but also a great source of encouragement for civil servants, public employees, and workers in the entire Information and Communications sector.

The little child is not yet 1 year old but holds his mother’s hand very tightly because he is concentrating completely on that exact thing, at that exact moment. Strength will come, you will be able to reach the center of the universe and happiness will come if you concentrate completely on the exact thing you are doing, at that exact moment. You often do this better than your brothers. And that is the favor that “Heaven” gives you.

Happy International Women's Day, March 8th. I sincerely wish all female colleagues in the Information and Communications industry to always be beautiful, radiant, confident, and full of energy because of focusing on the present, continuing to become responsible women in the family, in the community and in the Information and Communications industry.

Best regards!

Nguyen Manh Hung

Minister of Information and Communications
