Weather at night of March 31: Thunderstorms, tornadoes, strong gusts of wind in South Central and Southern regions

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, in the evening and night of March 31, in the South Central and Southern regions, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally with moderate to heavy rain with rainfall of 15-30mm, in some places over 60mm.

Thunderstorms may produce tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong winds.

Localized heavy rains are likely to cause flash floods on small rivers and streams, landslides on steep slopes and waterlogging in low-lying areas.

From the night of March 31 to April 2, the Northern region, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An will have rain in some places; the weather will be cold, especially in the highlands, some places will have severe cold .

From Ha Tinh to Quang Ngai there will be scattered rain and showers; cold in the North.

The South Central and Southern regions have scattered showers and thunderstorms, with some places having moderate to heavy rain.

The Central Highlands has scattered showers and thunderstorms, while the South has scattered showers and thunderstorms. At sea, in the Gulf of Tonkin, there are strong northeast winds of level 5, sometimes level 6, gusting to level 8; Ly Son Island has strong winds of level 6, gusting to level 7-8.

Forecast for the night of March 31 and April 1, the North East Sea area (including the waters of Hoang Sa archipelago) will have strong Northeast winds of level 6, gusting to level 7-8, rough seas, and waves 2-4 m high.

The sea area from Binh Dinh-Soc Trang and the northern part of the central East Sea has strong northeast winds of level 5, sometimes 6, gusting to level 7-8, rough seas, waves from 1.5-3.5m high.

The central East Sea, the sea from Binh Dinh to Ca Mau and the northern Gulf of Thailand will have showers and thunderstorms. There is a possibility of tornadoes and strong gusts of wind during thunderstorms.

From the night of April 1, winds at sea will gradually decrease. Risk of natural disasters due to strong winds at sea: level 2.

The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting warns that all vessels operating in the above areas are at high risk of being affected by tornadoes, strong winds and large waves.

Forecast for the night of March 31 and April 1, Hanoi area will have rain in some places; in the afternoon, the clouds will decrease and there will be sunshine. Northeast wind level 2-3, cold weather. Lowest temperature from 14-16 degrees Celsius. Highest temperature from 20-22 degrees Celsius./.
