(Fatherland) - On March 23, 2025, at Kim Bang War Invalids Nursing Center, Ha Nam, the cultural exchange program "Fire and Flower Songs" took place. Not just a simple cultural program, "Fire and Flower Songs" is also an opportunity to pay tribute to veterans, to listen together and feel the difficulties of a time of fire and flowers.
Veterans – who witnessed and experienced the heroic years – will be present to share their unforgettable memories. Each story is a part of history, a valuable lesson for today's generation.
"The Fire and Flower Time" is an event under the charity project "Preserving V" carried out by students of FPT University Hanoi with the desire to preserve beautiful memories, honoring the stories of the previous generation - those who sacrificed their youth and blood for today's peace.
Interwoven with the stories are elaborately staged performances, helping to recreate the atmosphere of a bygone era. In particular, the participation of FPTU Vovinam Club and FMUC FPTU Muay Club promises to not only bring powerful martial arts performances but also demonstrate a resilient spirit - values associated with extraordinary will and determination.
In particular, the appearance of a mysterious guest will bring surprises to the program. In addition, the students will hand out gratitude gifts to the veterans as a deep thank you for their sacrifices and contributions.

Sharing about the project name "Preserving V", Pham Le Mai Chi - Head of the Organizing Committee said: "V" is not simply a letter, but also means "The halo of a generation", a symbol of immortal values; "Victory - the resounding victory of an entire nation"; "Veterans" - veterans, those who have devoted their youth to protecting the country; "Vietnam" - the affectionate and proud name of the Fatherland. This is not only a charity activity but also carries a larger mission: Connecting the past with the present, spreading the spirit of gratitude and inspiring the young generation about the history of the nation.
Previously, on February 23, 2025, within the framework of the project, young people implemented the program "Freedom Recall", organizing a tour of the Vietnam Military History Museum (Hanoi) for veterans of the Kim Bang War Invalids Nursing Center. The trip was an opportunity for veterans to look back at items that carried strong memories of their youth, of the time of bombs and bullets. Once again, they returned to the proud, indomitable appearance of wearing military uniforms, wearing star hats and carrying guns to battle.
Young people focus on applying AI to restore documentary materials, recreate historical documents, and create elements in the design process.
A notable point is that in the project "Saving V", young people focus on applying AI to restore documentary materials, recreate historical documents, and create elements in the design process. Notably, 100% of the project's funding comes from fundraising sales and calls for support through the donation portal.
According to Mai Chi, the "Luu Cua V" project is currently aimed mainly at veterans, especially those with mental health difficulties. In the future, the project can be expanded to their relatives, former youth volunteers and those who have contributed to the revolution. The young people also aim to cooperate with educational units, businesses and media to organize more in-depth activities, such as talk shows, exhibitions of digital war relics, or podcasts telling stories of historical witnesses.
"We can build a digital memory library that stores stories, images, and documentary videos of veterans. This helps preserve historical heritage for a long time and makes it easier to access. Using virtual reality (VR) can help the younger generation "experience" the old battlefield through the perspective of their predecessors, creating a deeper understanding," said Mai Chi.
According to the Head of the Organizing Committee, with the project "Preserving V", the young people hope to spread it to 3 groups: For veterans, it is not only material support but also spiritual care, helping them feel listened to and respected; for the younger generation, it is an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of history through real stories, thereby arousing patriotism and responsibility to society; for society - creating a strong historical gratitude movement, helping to preserve traditional values in the digital age.
Kim Bang War Invalids Nursing Center is taking care of two main groups: Veterans with mental illness and relatives of people who have rendered service to the country. Currently, the Center is treating 81 wounded and sick soldiers and 33 retired people who are relatives of people who have rendered service to the country.
