The Provincial People's Committee has just issued an official dispatch announcing the suspension of operation of two units of A Vuong Hydropower Plant from April 25 to May 4, 2025 for inspection and major repairs. This is an important activity to ensure the safety and operational efficiency of the plant in the coming time.

During the suspension period, A Vuong Hydropower Joint Stock Company will coordinate with Song Bung Hydropower Company to calculate and regulate Song Bung 4 reservoir to discharge water through power generation at maximum flow rate according to the Inter-reservoir Operation Procedure on the Vu Gia - Thu Bon River Basin issued by the Prime Minister with Decision No. 1865, dated December 29, 2019 and the Coordination Regulation between the two Hydropower Plants to ensure water demand in the downstream area of ​​Vu Gia River.

The People's Committee of Dai Loc district, Dien Ban town and Quang Nam Irrigation Exploitation Company Limited are required to closely monitor the operating schedules of hydropower plants to develop water supply plans suitable to the actual needs of the locality.

The Department of Agriculture and Environment and the Department of Industry and Trade will closely monitor the implementation process, promptly report and advise the Provincial People's Committee to handle any arising issues.
