Vinmec is the first excellent clinical allergy and immunology center in Vietnam.

This is the first time a medical unit in Vietnam has achieved WAO recognition, bringing the field of Allergy - Clinical Immunology in the country closer to international standards.

The World Allergy Organization (WAO) is the world's leading medical organization in the field of allergy and clinical immunology. WAO brings together 115 member associations from countries and territories across 6 continents. Medical units awarded the title of Center of Excellence by WAO must meet the requirements of outstanding capacity in treatment, training, research, medical innovation and international influence.

Vinmec Clinical Immunology and Allergy Center possesses modern technology to help detect early, treat properly and control long-term immunological and allergic diseases.

After a rigorous evaluation process, with multiple rounds of document review, scientific evidence and practical operational capacity testing, Vinmec Clinical Allergy and Immunology Center has been recognized as a WAO Center of Excellence. The event not only affirms Vinmec's professional capacity, but also opens up opportunities for priority access to international training, research and clinical trial programs, and breakthrough treatment methods from WAO and the world's leading academic partners.

Vietnam has been listed on the World Allergy Organization's map of Centers of Excellence.

Before being recognized as a Center of Excellence by WAO, Vinmec Clinical Allergy and Immunology Center was the first medical facility in Vietnam to be simultaneously awarded two international titles in allergy specialties, including: Center of Excellence in Atopic Dermatitis Treatment according to ADCARE standards and Center of Excellence in Urticaria - Angioedema Treatment according to UCARE standards.

Vinmec Clinical Allergy and Immunology Center is also the first and only unit in Vietnam licensed by the Ministry of Health to deploy modern biological drugs and immunotherapy in the treatment of severe chronic allergic and immunological diseases such as bronchial asthma, atopic dermatitis, chronic urticaria, allergic rhinitis with nasal polyps, allergic conjunctivitis, etc.

Vinmec is the first medical unit in Vietnam to receive the title of Center of Excellence in Allergy - Clinical Immunology from WAO.

Currently, Vinmec is pioneering the application of genetic testing to screen for drug allergy risks, thereby personalizing treatment regimens, improving patient safety, or applying monoclonal antibodies - advanced and specialized treatment methods that are usually only available at major centers abroad. At the same time, the system has built a comprehensive diagnosis and management program for congenital immune disorders, helping with early detection, proper treatment, and long-term control.

Along with Vinmec, WAO also recognizes leading regional centers such as National University of Singapore, Yonsei University School of Medicine (Korea), University of Tokyo Hospital (Japan), and Shanghai Medical University Hospital (China).

Before the Center for Allergy and Clinical Immunology, Vinmec Healthcare System also had 3 Centers of Excellence according to international standards: Cardiovascular Center, Oncology Center, Orthopedic Trauma Center and Sports Medicine Center. This is the result of the strategy of building and developing specialized units according to excellent international standards to improve the quality of examination and treatment, bringing the most optimal and advanced solutions to patients of the system.
