More universities let students take time off and study online due to floods

On September 10, many training units of Hanoi National University announced that they would switch from in-person classes to online classes due to the complicated flood situation in the North, ensuring the safety of learners.

Specifically, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and the University of Economics, Vietnam National University, Hanoi,   Notice to all classes from the afternoon of September 10 from in-person to online until further notice.

Similarly, the University of Education, Vietnam National University, Hanoi announced that it will organize online teaching for students from September 10 to September 14.

Undergraduate and postgraduate courses organized by the University of Education will be taught and learned online or self-study under the guidance of lecturers. As for courses organized by member schools of the Vietnam National University, Hanoi, students will study according to the schedule of that school.

If a student is doing an internship, in fact, the student will follow the plan of the high school where he/she is working.

The University of Law , Vietnam National University, Hanoi announced that it will continue to postpone the class schedule for K69 students (new students) until September 16. The week off due to storm No. 3 will be compensated by the reserve week for semester I of the 2024-2025 school year.

The School of Interdisciplinary Sciences and Arts, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, allows students to study online from September 11 according to the schedule until further notice.

In addition, the University of Transport Technology continued to announce that the school will teach online until September 15. Previously, the school had adjusted the student schedule on September 10 from in-person to online due to the complicated weather situation after storm No. 3.

Thai Nguyen University of Medicine and Pharmacy , Thai Nguyen University also announced that all students of the school will stop studying theory and practice, and cancel all exam schedules from September 10 to September 15.

Currently, Thai Nguyen is one of the provinces/cities that has suffered a lot of damage after the flood, many places are deeply submerged in water.

Previously, many universities in the North also allowed students to postpone admission, postpone exams, take time off from school, or study online from September 7 to 10 to avoid the storm, repair damage, and clean up classrooms after the storm.

Yen Bai: Students stay home from school until September 14 to prevent floods

The Department of Education and Training of Yen Bai province continues to allow students in the province to stay home from school until Saturday (September 14) to prevent floods.

The Department requires education and training departments and affiliated units not to organize educational activities inside and outside schools to absolutely ensure the safety of human life and health.

Actively monitor the situation, immediately after the flood recedes, mobilize forces to quickly clean schools, classrooms, teaching equipment and supplies.

Review and adjust teaching plans and teaching assignments from September 16 to ensure compliance with the 2024-2025 school year schedule.
