On September 22, Ms. Nguyen Hoai Thuy Hang, Director of the Department of Education and Training of Hau Giang, reported on the fight between female students of Chau Van Liem Secondary School (Ward 4, Vi Thanh City, Hau Giang).
Previously, a clip appeared on social media recording a scene of a female student being "beaten up" by a group of schoolmates at a park in a residential area in Vi Tan commune, Vi Thanh city. The clip was then sent to the leaders of the Department of Education and Training of Vi Thanh city.
Student D. held his head when his schoolmate hit him with a helmet.
The principal of Chau Van Liem Secondary School confirmed that the beaten person was CTMD (class 7A5), and the group of 3 female students who beat their friend were TTNH (class 7A7), NGH (class 7A5, also at Chau Van Liem Secondary School) and HHN (14 years old, outside the school).
The report of Chau Van Liem Secondary School sent to the Department of Education and Training of Hau Giang also showed that, just one day after beating D., this group of female students organized to beat another female student from the same school, but changed the location. It was from this incident that the school discovered that D. was beaten.
Accordingly, at around 2:00 p.m. on September 17, Chau Van Liem Secondary School received information that TTBT (class 7A7) was beaten by a group of 3 female students at Cat Tuong Park (Ward 5, Vi Thanh City). Upon learning of the incident, the homeroom teacher invited the students to work, reminded them, and asked them to write a self-criticism. From there, the school learned that this group had beaten D. at a park in Vi Tan Commune the day before (September 16). The cause was a conflict on social media.
On September 18, the school invited the parents of the beaten children and the children who beat their friends to come to a mediation session to agree on a solution. However, when they returned home, D.'s parents saw a clip of their child being beaten and reported it to the police station in Ward 4, Vi Thanh City.
At noon on September 18, D. felt a headache, and her family took her to Hau Giang Maternity and Pediatrics Hospital. After examination, D. only had soft tissue injuries in her arms and neck. The family continued to monitor her until the morning of September 19, and re-examined her using a CT scan. Meanwhile, T. also went for an X-ray, and the results showed that she had minor soft tissue injuries, so she went to school as usual.
The Director of the Department of Education and Training of Hau Giang said that the department has directed the Department of Education and Training of Vi Thanh City and Chau Van Liem Secondary School to visit the hospital and the families of the two beaten female students. At the same time, coordinate with relevant agencies to take appropriate measures to handle the students who beat their friends; direct educational institutions throughout the province to take measures to prevent similar cases from happening.
