Change traffic time through Phong Chau pontoon bridge

In a quick exchange with Giao thong Newspaper reporters, Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung, Vice Chairman of Tam Nong District People's Committee, said: "Traffic time through Phong Chau pontoon bridge will be changed from 5:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. daily, previously from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. daily. The time change is to meet the needs of people in daily life, going to school, going to work."

Previously, at 6:00 p.m. on October 1, Phong Chau pontoon bridge had to be temporarily closed due to the rising water level of the Red River, many trees and obstacles drifted into the pontoon bridge, causing excessive pressure on the bridge.

Traffic time through Phong Chau pontoon bridge is changed to 5:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. daily.

Immediately afterwards, on the afternoon of October 4, the Engineering Corps transported people on both sides of Phong Chau bridge across the river by military ferry, temporarily replacing the pontoon bridge.

At around 5:30 p.m. on October 6, Phong Chau pontoon bridge was reopened to serve people's travel needs.

Vehicles allowed to cross the bridge include: Primitive vehicles, motorbikes, scooters, and three-wheeled motorcycles allowed to travel in both directions, at a speed not exceeding 5km/h.

For automobiles, only cars and pickup trucks are allowed to travel in one direction when crossing the bridge, each direction lasts 10 minutes, the distance between vehicles on the bridge is at least 30m, and the speed does not exceed 10km/h.
