According to the report, the Dong Xoai Urban Area - Central Park project has a scale of 56.1 hectares (of which 49.2 hectares/1,190 plots of land are recovered from households). Up to now, the Dong Xoai City People's Committee has issued a decision to recover land and approved compensation and support plans for 401 plots/18.4 hectares with a total amount of 187 billion VND. Currently, 185 plots/10 hectares of land have been paid, with an amount of 96 billion VND and the site has been handed over to the investor. The remaining 216 plots have not yet been allocated funds for payment.

The Suoi Cam Lake Tourist Area Project (phase 2) has a scale of 166.98 hectares, of which 139.1 hectares/1,014 plots of land are recovered from households and individuals. Up to now, the city has issued a decision to recover land and approved compensation and support plans for 191 plots/40.2 hectares with a total amount of about 351 billion VND. Currently, 115 plots/30.9 hectares with a total amount of about 247.8 billion VND have been paid and the site has been handed over to the investor. The remaining 76 plots/9.3 hectares have not yet been allocated funds by the investor for payment.

Currently, the two projects still have 1,621 land plots that have not yet approved compensation plans.

At the meeting, leaders of the People's Committee, the City Land Fund Development Center and the People's Committees of Tan Phu, Tien Thanh and Tan Binh wards, where the projects are being implemented, raised difficulties and obstacles in the implementation process, especially the inadequacies in compensation, support and resettlement policies.

Member of the Provincial Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Truong Son delivered a concluding speech at the meeting.

After listening to the opinions of the representatives of the investors of the two projects, the explanations and proposed solutions of the relevant departments, branches and units, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Truong Son requested the Departments of Finance and Construction to determine the assigned tasks, powers and responsibilities to assign responsibilities to leaders, cadres and civil servants to directly coordinate with agencies, units and Dong Xoai city to implement the work contents of the two projects. Regarding the adjustment of planning, extension and investment phases of the projects, the units coordinate to report to the Provincial People's Committee as soon as possible. The investors of the projects focus on completing the resettlement areas, at the same time preparing well the resources, especially the capital ready to pay compensation to the people, as an important basis to speed up the progress of site clearance.

Dong Xoai City People's Committee directed the Land Fund Development Center and agencies, units, communes and wards to focus highly on compensation, support and resettlement. During the implementation process, regularly report to the Provincial People's Committee, properly implement the information and exchange regime, promptly remove obstacles and difficulties to join hands with investors to speed up the progress of project implementation.
