(NLDO)- The People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province will assign the Provincial Inspectorate to preside over and organize a comprehensive inspection of the Khang Linh Housing Project in Vung Tau City.
On December 5, at the 24th session of the People's Council of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, term VII, 2021-2026, Mr. Le Hoang Hai, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, reported on the results of supervising the settlement of voters' petitions sent before the session.
Accordingly, through meetings with voters before the session, the Provincial People's Council delegates and the Provincial People's Council Standing Committee recorded and summarized 17 voters' opinions and forwarded them to the Provincial People's Committee for direction and handling. Up to now, the recommendations have been considered, resolved, and responded to voters.
Among these petitions, voters continue to request the People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province to organize a meeting with representatives of relevant agencies, Khang Linh Company Limited and households in the project area to resolve people's problems and answer questions about legality and financial obligations for the Low-rise Housing Project in Ward 11, Vung Tau City.
Khang Linh Housing Complex
According to the inspection results, Khang Linh Company has the right to use about 5.63ha/7.59ha of land in Vung Tau City for the purpose of specialized land and land for production and business. Up to now, the company has not yet converted the land use purpose according to the land use planning and construction planning, and has not yet completed the agreement to receive the transfer, receive capital contribution or lease the land use rights for the remaining area of about 1.96ha.
In September 2024, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment requested the company to submit a dossier to change the purpose according to regulations, but the company has not yet done so. Ba Ria - Vung Tau province will continue to direct relevant departments to urge the company to do so.
Regarding the fulfillment of financial obligations, Khang Linh Company was granted a business registration certificate in 2004, however, to date, this enterprise has not yet fulfilled its tax obligations. In addition, the accommodation at the Low-rise Housing Project and the Expanded Low-rise Housing Project in Ward 11 of this company has not yet completed investment and construction procedures, thus not ensuring legal housing conditions for permanent residence registration according to regulations.
"In order to identify the existing problems and responsibilities of the relevant parties, the Provincial People's Committee will assign the Provincial Inspectorate to preside over and organize a comprehensive inspection of the Khang Linh Housing Project to have a basis for resolving and responding to people's petitions. It is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2025" - Mr. Le Hoang Hai announced.
The low-rise housing project in Ward 11 (Khang Linh housing project) began in 2003. Many people have bought land and built houses to live stably in the project for many years. However, they have not yet been granted pink books, greatly affecting their legal rights and interests.
