On September 5, Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son signed a decision to establish a branch of Ho Chi Minh City University of Education in Gia Lai on the basis of Gia Lai Pedagogical College.
Accordingly, Ho Chi Minh City University of Education is responsible for reporting to the Ministry of Education and Training, Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee and relevant ministries and branches to organize the handover and reception of learners, personnel, finance, assets, facilities, equipment and related documents of Gia Lai College of Education according to the provisions of law; report to the Ministry of Education and Training on the conditions to ensure educational quality to allow the Ho Chi Minh City University of Education Branch in Gia Lai province to carry out training activities according to the provisions of law.
The establishment of the Ho Chi Minh City University of Education branch in Gia Lai province on the basis of Gia Lai Pedagogical College is not simply an expansion of training scale, but also a strategic step to meet the requirements of fundamental and comprehensive innovation in education and training as well as the need for teacher training and human resource development for Gia Lai province in particular and the Central Highlands region in general.
The establishment of the Ho Chi Minh City University of Education Branch in Gia Lai province will be an important milestone for the school on the path to consolidating its position as a key teacher training school in the country and will have great significance for the overall development of the locality; opening up learning opportunities for young people with passion and aspiration to pursue a teaching career in Gia Lai and neighboring provinces.
