At the ceremony, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Youth Union of Agencies and Enterprises announced the decision to establish the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Long An Medical College , abbreviated as the Youth Union of Long An Medical College, and appointed a provisional Executive Committee consisting of 7 members (1 secretary, 1 deputy secretary and 5 members), in which Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hung holds the position of Secretary of the Youth Union.
The Youth Unions under the Youth Union of Long An Medical College were also established and assigned a provisional Executive Committee, including the Youth Union of Cadres and Civil Servants (1 secretary); Youth Union of Nursing College Class DD24A1 (1 secretary, 1 deputy secretary, 1 member); Youth Union of Nursing College Class DD24A2 (1 secretary, 1 deputy secretary, 1 member); Youth Union of Midwifery College Class HS24A1 (1 secretary, 1 deputy secretary, 1 member).

Long An Medical College was officially established on January 25, 2024 on the basis of upgrading from Long An Medical College. Immediately after the establishment decision, the school cooperated with Tra Vinh University to train majors in the medical field related to 3 joint training groups including short-term training, university and postgraduate. Currently, the school has 3 classes with 69 students and is enrolling 3 training majors including Nursing, Midwifery and Pharmacy with a target of 192 students.
