However, during the recent holiday, 105 cyber attacks were detected, mainly in the form of phishing attacks. The Information Security Department sent warnings and handled 15 cyber attacks, as well as blocked and handled 30 websites that violated the law.
According to statistics, the Department of Information Security has received nearly 2,600 reports of spam calls and nearly 1,200 reports of spam messages.
Before the Lunar New Year holiday, the Ministry of Information and Communications has requested units and localities to ensure the safety of information systems, increase resources to ensure safe and smooth telecommunications and Internet infrastructure, as well as strengthen monitoring and support to fix incidents. At the same time, businesses need to implement measures to prevent cyber attacks, the spread of malicious information, and information that violates the law.
The Vietnam Cyber Security Association said: APT attacks, spyware and ransomware are still the main forms of attack; meanwhile, industrial control systems, autonomous vehicles and drones will be new targets of hackers.
Experts say: the exposure, eavesdropping and theft of personal information, accounts and data for the purpose of appropriation and fraud is still the biggest threat to many people.
Therefore, businesses and agencies need to focus on propaganda, training and raising user awareness of the dangers of attacks on digital platforms.
