Focus on removing obstacles and creating conditions for Nghi Xuan to develop

The Chairman of the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province requested departments and branches to accompany, remove difficulties, and advise on issuing special policies to support Nghi Xuan in the process of building a model new-style rural district.

On the afternoon of November 22, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Trong Hai had a working session with Nghi Xuan district on the socio-economic development situation and to resolve local recommendations and proposals.

Reporting on socio-economic development results, Chairman of Nghi Xuan District People's Committee Le Anh Dung said: In 10 months, 37 enterprises and 2 cooperatives were newly established in the district; 7 investors surveyed and established projects in the area, of which 4 projects were proposed for investment approval.

The total number of tourists to Nghi Xuan in 10 months reached more than 470,785. Agricultural production achieved good results.

Regarding the construction of an advanced new-style rural district, up to now, 4/9 criteria have been achieved and basically achieved. The whole district currently has 33/48 schools meeting national standards, a rate of 68.7%.

Mr. Le Anh Dung - Chairman of Nghi Xuan District People's Committee reported on the socio-economic situation.

However, some targets are still low. Total budget revenue in 10 months reached nearly 109 billion VND, reaching 46.2% of the plan assigned by the province and 28.4% of the plan assigned by the district. Disbursement of public investment is still slow, up to now the rate has reached 56% of the capital plan.

Nghi Xuan district leaders also made a number of proposals related to budget collection, resource mobilization, planning work; proposed to build a number of key projects as a driving force for socio-economic development; supported funding to implement criteria for building advanced new-style rural districts; expanded capacity of waste treatment plants in the area...

At the meeting, leaders of departments, branches and sectors provided more information on the contents proposed by Nghi Xuan district; gave suggestions on solutions to the difficulties and shortcomings of the district, focusing on problems in project planning, limitations in education work; and suggested many solutions for the district to develop socio-economically.

Concluding the working session, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Trong Hai requested Nghi Xuan district to promote the spirit of solidarity, do a good job of directing and operating socio-economic development tasks; coordinate with departments and branches to carry out planning work well, ensuring strategicity; have solutions to increase budget revenue, speed up disbursement of public investment capital; resolutely implement solutions to ensure security, order and traffic safety in the area; strengthen citizen reception to resolve complaints and denunciations from commune and district levels.

Pay attention to developing high-tech agriculture; focus on developing service tourism, forming tours connecting relic sites in the area such as Nguyen Du relic site, Nguyen Cong Tru relic site, Cho Cui temple. Improve the quality of education and training; effectively implement social security activities, ensuring the material and spiritual life of the people.

Acknowledging the recommendations and proposals of Nghi Xuan district, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested relevant departments, branches and sectors to accompany and remove difficulties for the locality in implementing socio-economic development tasks. Advise on the issuance of specific policies to support Nghi Xuan district in the process of building a model new-style rural district, creating conditions for local development.
