Training on national defense, military and counter-terrorism

At the training session, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Van Phuc shared that national defense, military and counter-terrorism work in units under the Ministry and the Departments of Education and Training play a very important role. This is a part of the Ministry's national defense and security work to build and consolidate the national defense, strong people's security, and a national defense posture associated with solid people's security.

Over the years, the Military Command of the Ministry of Education and Training has regularly directed and guided the Command Boards of units under the Ministry and the Departments of Education and Training on the implementation of military and defense tasks. Activities have become orderly and stable.

Deputy Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Van Phuc spoke at the training session.

“Every year, the Steering Committee for Counter-Terrorism Prevention and Control of the Ministry of Education and Training has developed a counter-terrorism plan and deployed it to units under the Ministry and the Departments of Education and Training.

"The sub-committees of the anti-terrorism steering committees of the units have been regularly strengthened, procedures have been developed, training and drills have been organized in accordance with regulations, thereby raising the vigilance and sense of responsibility of civil servants, public employees, teachers, lecturers and students in agencies, units and schools for the task of anti-terrorism," Deputy Minister Phuc shared.

In this training session, the reporters introduced and provided important information to the training class, focusing on contents such as updating the basic issues of the Party's guidelines and viewpoints on the task of protecting the Fatherland in the new situation, information on the current security situation in the world, the region and Vietnam; unifying the viewpoints, contents, and methods of leadership and direction of military and defense work of the Ministry's Military Command for the Military Commands of units under and directly under the Ministry, the Departments of Education and Training; fostering and improving the quality and capacity of staff work of the Military Commands of agencies, units, and schools in defense and military work.

The training session received attention from many units.

Update and supplement information on the current international and domestic terrorism situation; provide guidance on identifying targets and key areas for counter-terrorism to unify content and methods, and enhance the ability to respond to situations of the Counter-Terrorism Steering Committee of units under the Ministry, Departments of Education and Training, etc.
