Overcoming language and cultural barriers, gentle music penetrates deeply into the spiritual life of each person, becoming the common language of all mankind. In recent years, many professional and systematic music programs and competitions have been organized by schools and units in the province, contributing to arousing the love and passion for music for the young generation of Thanh Hoa.
The 2024 "Music Festival" program is organized by the Provincial Radio and Television Station in collaboration with Thien An Music Academy.
Nurturing talent
Remember in March 2024, for the first time, the Thanh Hoa Talent Show was organized by the FPT High School System in Thanh Hoa. The contest aims to nurture and develop early talents for students in Thanh Hoa province, while spreading the goal of building an educational environment that balances knowledge and practice of 21st century skills. The contest provides a rich playground of experiences and opportunities to affirm talents for students from 5 to 18 years old. Not limited to the field, participating in the contest, students from schools in the province have the opportunity to show their strengths and shine in any talent such as: Singing, music, dancing, choreography, MC - storytelling, acting, ... Coming to Thanh Hoa Talent Show 2024, contestants can learn, exchange, connect with friends who share the same passion for culture and arts and experience a unique learning space with new knowledge from the program.
In addition to the initiative of schools and educational institutions in the province, many music competitions and playgrounds for the young generation are also jointly organized by units, creating a spread in the community, including the music playground organized by Thanh Hoa Radio and Television Station in coordination with other units.
Mr. Nguyen Dang Hung, Head of the Department of Arts and Sports, Thanh Hoa Radio and Television Station shared: In 2023, under the direction of the Board of Directors, the Department of Arts and Sports actively called for sponsorship and socialized funding to produce many arts and entertainment programs such as: "Gala Sao nhi 2023"; coordinated with music and art training centers to organize livestreams of art and entertainment programs for teenagers and children such as: "Green musical notes" program; "August Show - I shine"; Art performance program Welcoming Christmas and New Year 2024 performed by children of Tottochan Kindergarten - Ngoi Sao Xanh... Through the programs, contributing to meeting the needs of music enjoyment for all classes of people, the coordination of art and entertainment programs creates a "playground" for music, stimulating the passion for music for the young generation.
In particular, last August, the Department of Arts and Sports advised the board of directors and leaders of the station to coordinate with Thien An Music Academy to organize the "Music Festival" program in 2024. The program was livestreamed directly on TTV's digital platforms, continuing the success of the previous 7 seasons. The 8th "Music Festival" program created a playground for the center's students to have the opportunity to exchange and perform music on a large scale, vibrantly, attractively, colorfully with childhood colors and express themselves on a big stage. This is not only a spiritual gift from Thien An Music Academy to its students, but has also become an attractive music playground, with an expanded scale, attracting a large number of music-loving children across the province to participate.
Spread the love of music
Recalling the live stream of the "Music Festival" program in 2024, I was really impressed and admired the talent of the young people from preschool to high school age. They brought a wonderful music night, with attractive performances such as: Singing, modern dance, ensemble, piano solo, guitar, piano - violin duet, zither solo... At the end of the program, the young artists performed the choir "Who loves Uncle Ho Chi Minh more than children". The song is also a gift expressing the feelings and gratitude of the children to the great President Ho Chi Minh - who sacrificed his whole life for the independence and freedom of the nation so that today the children can live in peace, prosperity, and happily go to school. Through the performance night, I hope that Thanh Hoa will have more and more playgrounds, develop on a larger scale so that all the children who love music have the opportunity to show their talent, passion and shine under the stage lights.
Hoang Vu Nam, an 8th grader at Tran Mai Ninh Secondary School, said: "I really like learning guitar. Last summer, my parents registered me to attend a guitar course at Thien An Music Academy. With the teachers' enthusiastic guidance, instruction, and imparting of the most basic knowledge, after the course, I have grasped the knowledge, practiced every day, and now know how to play the guitar, perform many songs, contributing to multiplying the passion for music in me." Previously, his brother also studied guitar at Thien An Music Academy. Ms. Vu Thi Dao (Thanh Hoa City) shared: "As parents, we hope that schools and units will continue to create more musical playgrounds for the younger generation so that children can learn, experience, and awaken their potential."
Musician Do Hoai Nam, Head of the Music Department, Thanh Hoa Literature and Arts Association, shared: In the atmosphere of economic, cultural and social development of the homeland and country, in recent times, musicians and artists of Thanh Hoa have composed many genres with themes praising the Party, Uncle Ho, homeland, country, praising creative labor. The Music Department, Thanh Hoa Literature and Arts Association is a place where Thanh Hoa artists gather, meet, exchange, encourage and motivate each other in the field of musical creation. The membership is growing in both quantity and quality, with more than 60 members, including 20 members of the Vietnam Musicians Association. Artists of Thanh Hoa have many active activities participating in art performances in the province and in the country, leaving many deep impressions on the stages; actively participating in organizing, performing and promoting musical works; encourage musicians to compose new works (including: songs, choral, instrumental).
To create more musical "playgrounds" for the young generation of Thanh Hoa, in the coming time, the music committee will continue to open training courses to improve professional skills and experience in music composition; discover and train young writers to recruit members; encourage and motivate young artists and musicians to create musical works that are both youthful and still retain the beauty of traditional music, have the power to spread, become spiritual food, live with time and are loved by music lovers, especially the young generation. The music committee will coordinate with units, schools, and youth unions to create competitions, music playgrounds, promote and introduce musical products so that music can increasingly spread, connect, and become closer to the public, especially the young generation.
