With a cool climate all year round, the landscape still retains its pristine beauty; many villages and hamlets are located in high, rugged terrain, in recent years An Toan has emerged as a new "cloud hunting paradise" of the Central region. An Toan commune is a place where it is easy to see clouds drifting through the alleys all year round because the humidity here is very high. Even on hot summer days, the temperature is 5 to 7 degrees Celsius lower than other places, some days of the year the clouds are even hazy, quiet and floating covering the entire village road.

From April to September is the time when cloud hunters come to An Toan. On days when the rain has just stopped and the sun has come out, from any angle you will see the sea of floating clouds. Before the sun has risen, An Toan is immersed in a sea of white clouds, like a dream floating in the middle of the sky. The clouds creep over the mountainside, gently slide through the old forest canopy, then gradually disappear in the early morning sun.

Then, when the hazy mist has just cleared, another world appears - a treasure trove of green forests, silent but with waves crashing, lively in the middle of the great forest; here and there are rare medicinal herb gardens that have been developed in recent years. An Toan owns diverse primeval forests with many precious plants, especially some rare and valuable medicinal herbs such as angelica, honeysuckle, ivy, seven-leaf ginseng, ivy, purple morinda, purple cardamom, polygonum multiflorum...

The most memorable An Lao products are fern and fish, and in this mountainous district, fern and fish from An Toan are at the top of the list. Fern is a sweet and crunchy wild vegetable that grows along streams, often boiled and dipped in chili fish sauce, or stir-fried with fragrant garlic. Visitors can follow the locals wading in streams to pick vegetables, feeling the close connection between people and nature. Fish is a species that lives in streams and the places with the fastest water flow are where the most delicious fish will be found. Fish has a slim body, shiny scales, firm and fatty meat. The experience of catching fish by hand or with a basket or small net, in the cool, clear water, will certainly bring visitors unforgettable moments.
