The 2024 Trade Connection Program between suppliers in the North Central region with export enterprises and trade promotion organizations held in the first week of June 2024 in Dong Ha City, Quang Tri Province attracted the participation of more than 80 suppliers and 10 distributors, supermarket systems, import-export units from provinces and cities across the country. This year, the program focuses on trade connection rather than exchange, thus creating many opportunities for businesses to seek contracts, increase sales, buy and sell, and exchange products.

As a company specializing in the production of fish cakes, in recent times, Yummy Food Company Limited (Quang Binh) has continuously researched to develop new products in the field, building an investment roadmap to expand the factory. The company's fish cakes have achieved 3-star OCOP products, typical rural industrial products of Quang Binh province. Mr. Nguyen Tan Nam, Deputy Director of the company, said that by participating in this trade connection program, the unit hopes to connect with businesses in Quang Tri province to purchase seafood as raw materials for production.
Coming from Ha Tinh province, enterprises such as KC Ha Tinh Company Limited, Duc Phuc Company Limited, Cuong Nga Honey Cooperative, Thu Hang Turmeric Starch Production Facility, Hoa Anh Medicinal Herbs Production Facility with typical products such as Ngoc Mam rice, cu do, turmeric starch, cassava starch, ginseng extract, rice paper, ginseng... Representative of KC Ha Tinh Company Limited Nguyen Tan Thanh shared that Ha Tinh enterprises wish to learn more experiences as well as cooperate in investment, connect consumption of goods with provinces and cities in the North Central region to expand the market and increase market share.
In order to increase the effectiveness of trade connections, the organizers have "paired" local agencies, businesses, and distributors together so that the two sides can directly negotiate to promote and consume Vietnamese goods.
During the negotiation, exchange and search for investment cooperation opportunities, many enterprises and production facilities registered to connect with the distribution channel of typical Vietnamese products, Ecofarm Pay, belonging to Ecofarm Pay Group Joint Stock Company. Ms. Bui To Nga, Executive Director - Ecofarm Pay Project Management Board, said that Ecofarm Pay is a project to establish fixed and sustainable display, promotion and distribution points for Vietnamese products nationwide.
According to the plan, in the period from 2022 - 2025, the project will build and organize pilot operations of showrooms, consumer goods supermarkets, retail stores, with 3 expected standard construction points and 100 linked points in a number of key provinces and cities, including Quang Tri.
“Participating in this program, we realized that Quang Tri province has many potential OCOP products for suppliers to connect with the Ecofarm Pay project's point of sale chain to supply the market with high-quality Vietnamese products, OCOP products, regional specialties, and typical rural industrial products. In the past, we have connected and brought into the chain the cereal powder product system of Tran Lan Production Facility in Trieu Phong district and it has been very popular with customers. In today's program, many manufacturers of products such as essential oils, medicinal herbs, turmeric starch... have registered to join the Ecofarm Pay product distribution chain connection".
The program of connecting trade between suppliers and exporting enterprises and trade promotion organizations is a practical solution, promoting enterprises to increase production, boost consumption of goods, introduce typical and potential local products to international trade promotion agencies, importers, purchasers, processors and exporters both domestically and internationally.
In 2023, through trade conferences attended by Quang Tri enterprises, dozens of contracts were signed and the distribution and consumption network was expanded. For example, Thien Bao Company Limited signed a contract to supply vegetable noodles to Tu Son Chau Doc supermarket; Anh Bach Trading and Production Company Limited signed a contract to supply vegetable noodles, brown rice noodles, mixed grain cakes, rice cakes to Winmart (Hanoi), BGRMart supermarket, Duc Thanh supermarket, Dabaco Bac Ninh Trade Center, and B11 Kim Lien self-service supermarket.
Dinh Son Mai Thi Thuy Medicinal Herbs Co., Ltd. has signed a contract to supply medicinal herbs including Che Vang extract, Solanum procumbens extract, Polygonum multiflorum extract, and Passionflower extract with Bao Minh Agricultural Products Trading and Processing Joint Stock Company, Quang Tri Trading Corporation has signed a contract to supply Sepon organic rice with Luong An Food Company Limited, vegetable noodles, perilla powder, herbal tea, and lotus powder of Tran Lan Clean Agricultural Products Production and Trading Co., Ltd. has signed a contract to supply products to LynnTimes Hotel and Resort Management Joint Stock Company...
Deputy Director of the Provincial Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Tran Phi Tuong said: “At the trade connection program between suppliers in the North Central region with export enterprises and trade promotion organizations in 2024, 54 memorandums of understanding were signed.
Thereby contributing to promoting e-commerce channels to promote online connections to bring products of Quang Tri province and other provinces and cities to e-commerce platforms, establish online distribution channels, and export across borders through e-commerce.
