Mr. Vo Phan Thanh Minh, Chairman of Cao Lanh City People's Committee spoke at the conference.

Speaking at the Conference, Mr. Vo Phan Thanh Minh, Chairman of Cao Lanh City People's Committee acknowledged the results achieved in the coordination between the People's Committee and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province and socio-political organizations in the recent past. However, the Chairman of Cao Lanh City People's Committee said that in the past, the coordination and connection between the Committee, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations were sometimes and in some places not close, and there was no true interaction and coordination.

The Chairman of the People's Committee of Cao Lanh City suggested that in the coming time, the People's Committee of the city and the communes and wards need to further strengthen coordination with the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations. In particular, the departments, agencies, and branches of the city, and the People's Committees of communes and wards need to be more proactive in providing information and coordinating with the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations.

“For example, every month, comrades share information about which areas in their communes and wards are likely to have illegal construction and request the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations to participate in monitoring to promptly handle the situation. In the near future, comrades from the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations will be invited to participate right from the project planning stage, determining project boundaries, determining how many households are affected, determining cases eligible for resettlement, job needs... to the stage of resolving complaints...", said Mr. Vo Phan Thanh Minh.

Mr. Huynh Van Tuan, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Cao Lanh City, said that the conference was an opportunity for the city to evaluate the results achieved as well as recognize the limitations in the coordination between the People's Committee, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations in the recent past. From there, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Cao Lanh City and the City People's Committee will sign a new coordination program with more specific content, closer to the local reality.
