On the competition day of May 11, wushu athlete Duong Thuy Vi competed well and achieved quite high scores in the two categories of spearmanship (9.606 points) and swordsmanship (9.623 points). This achievement helped the “jade girl” of Vietnamese wushu win the first gold medal on May 11 for the Vietnamese sports delegation. It was even more meaningful when Thuy Vi won the gold medal on her 30th birthday.
