Signing of regulations on environmental protection coordination in industrial zones

Attending the conference were representatives of leaders of departments, branches, districts, cities and enterprises investing in industrial park infrastructure.

Mr. Bui Minh Tri, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, gave a speech at the conference.

The conference was organized by the Binh Duong Industrial Park Management Board to strengthen the close coordination and cooperation between state agencies and industrial park infrastructure investors in attracting investment and developing industry in association with the province's sustainable development goals.

The signing of the Coordination Regulation is expected to improve the effectiveness of state management of environmental protection, helping to promptly handle problems arising during the operation of enterprises in the industrial park.

The contents of the coordination regulations include: coordination of direction, information exchange, legal dissemination, environmental inspection and supervision, handling of violations, response to environmental incidents and conversion of industrial park models. The parties agreed to organize a periodic review in the second quarter and a final review in the fourth quarter of each year to evaluate the effectiveness of coordination and promptly adjust the implementation content.

Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Bui Minh Tri requested that, in order to ensure sustainable industrial development associated with environmental protection, the Binh Duong Industrial Park Management Board and industrial park infrastructure investment companies focus on effectively implementing the recently signed coordination regulations. In particular, it is necessary to widely disseminate to all cadres, workers and employees, strengthen legal propaganda, inspection, post-inspection and improve the capacity to access international environmental standards.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also requested that the parties coordinate closely in attracting investment in the right direction of green, smart development, and high-tech application. In particular, it is necessary to focus on promoting the transformation of traditional industrial park models into ecological industrial parks to adapt to current sustainable development requirements.
