(NADS) - On March 6, the People's Committee of Quang Binh province issued Official Dispatch No. 337/UBND-TH requesting to review and temporarily suspend the implementation of a number of construction investment projects in the province. This is a move to implement the conclusions of the Politburo and the Secretariat on continuing to arrange and streamline the organization of the political system in 2025.
Focus on reviewing and suspending administrative works
According to the content of the dispatch, the People's Committee of Quang Binh province assigned the People's Committees of districts, towns and cities to urgently organize a review and temporarily suspend the implementation of new investment projects to build, repair, renovate and upgrade offices, halls and central cultural houses under the management of administrative agencies and public service units at district and commune levels.
Projects related to the health and education sectors are not subject to suspension. In addition, police headquarters at commune, ward and town levels using state budget funds must also be temporarily suspended until further instructions are issued.
Tight control over public asset procurement
In addition, the Provincial People's Committee requires localities to only purchase assets and working equipment when absolutely necessary to maintain the normal operation of agencies and units. Unrealized funds must be reported to competent authorities for adjustment and allocation for other important tasks and projects, ensuring savings and efficiency.
Strengthen monitoring and reporting of results
The Department of Finance is assigned to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Construction, the Department of Home Affairs, the State Treasury of Region XI and relevant units to monitor, inspect and supervise the implementation in localities. In case of exceeding the authority, the Department of Finance will report to the Provincial People's Committee for consideration and decision.
The Provincial People's Committee requests districts, cities, towns and related departments and branches to seriously implement and report results before March 12, 2025.
This decision clearly demonstrates Quang Binh province's efforts in implementing the policy of streamlining the apparatus, optimizing the budget, and moving towards an effective and sustainable public administration.
