Ha Nam Culture-Tourism Week 2023 and the Vietnam-Japan traditional art performance exchange program will last until May 20 with many special activities.
On May 14, the Ha Nam Culture-Tourism Week 2023 and the Vietnam-Japan Traditional Art Performance Exchange Program officially opened at Tam Chuc tourist area (Kim Bang district, Ha Nam) with the participation of nearly 30,000 people.
This is a practical activity to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan, aiming to highlight the achievements in the friendship and cooperation between the two countries in many fields such as politics, economics, culture, sports, from the national leadership level to the grassroots level. In addition, the event is also an opportunity for Ha Nam province to promote its unique cultural values, creating momentum to promote tourism development.

The highlight of the event is the opening ceremony combined with the exchange program and traditional art performances between Vietnam and Japan, with the theme "Pride of Ha Nam mountains and rivers".
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Truong Quoc Huy - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said that in recent times, Ha Nam has been proud to be an attractive destination for many domestic and foreign tourists with many typical tourism products such as: Cultural-spiritual tourism, festivals (Ba Danh Pagoda, Dia Tang Phi Lai Pagoda, Tam Chuc Pagoda...); craft village tourism (Dai Hoang Braised Fish Village, Doi Tam Drum Village).

Not only building a route to closely connect and exchange tourists with major cities across the country, Ha Nam also promotes and connects with large businesses and travel agencies in other countries to organize attractive tours, including Japan.
"Ha Nam considers investment cooperation with Japan as one of the important tasks to mobilize all resources and promote the province's socio-economic development. It can be said that the achievements in investment cooperation between Ha Nam province and Japanese localities and organizations have contributed to the overall success of the Vietnam-Japan friendship and cooperation relationship over the past 50 years," Mr. Huy emphasized.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Vietnam Yamada Takio highly appreciated the friendship between the two countries. This year, Japan and Vietnam celebrate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations. The relationship between the two countries is considered to be at its best ever and has an unprecedented strong connection in all fields.
"One of the localities that has become a model for the Japan-Vietnam friendly cooperation relationship is Ha Nam province. Many Japanese enterprises have been operating in a favorable investment environment," said Mr. Yamada Takio.

At the event, Politburo member and National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, presented the Decision to recognize two national treasures (National Treasure of Giau Pagoda Stone Stele, Tien Noi Bronze Drum 1) and four decisions to rank national relics in Ha Nam province, including the Lat Son Base Historical Relic, Thanh Son Commune, Kim Bang District; Bat Canh Son Scenic Area, Tuong Linh Commune, Kim Bang District; Tam Chuc Scenic Area Complex, Ba Sao Town, Kim Bang District; Nam Cao Tomb and Memorial Historical Relic, Hoa Hau Commune, Ly Nhan District.
During the art exchange program, the audience was delighted with unique performances, elaborately staged with the participation of Vietnamese and Japanese artists.
Ha Nam Culture and Tourism Week 2023 and the Vietnam-Japan Traditional Art Performance Exchange Program will last until May 20 with many special activities such as: hot air balloon experience, traditional Japanese art performance, experiencing the space of Phu Ly-Ha Nam walking street...
In addition, Ha Nam province organized a conference to promote investment in tourism development, along with activities to promote tourism in the area such as exhibitions of beautiful photos of Ha Nam tourism, beautiful photos of Japan tourism; display and introduce typical OCOP products of Ha Nam province; organize survey teams, link to build tours, Ha Nam tourism routes associated with attractions such as Tran Thuong temple, Dia Tang Phi Lai pagoda, Nam Cao writer memorial area, Ba Kien house area.
