Drew Binsky, who has more than 5 million subscribers on YouTube, has spent more than a decade traveling the world and says Asia is his favorite continent.
While Brunei and Bahrain are at the bottom of the list of countries to visit in Asia, Drew has outlined his top five. Next to each pick, he reveals what he liked best about each country and some of the best things to do if you visit them.
In the description below the video, Drew says he has been fortunate to have visited most of the countries in Asia at least three times. "I have spent the last 12 years visiting every country in the world," he says at the beginning of the video. "Asia is my favorite continent, the one I have called home for 8 years, and that's where I am traveling right now."
With that in mind, here are his top five countries in Asia. Drew's comments were republished by the UK newspaper Express.uk.
5. Thailand
Coming in at number five on the list is Thailand. The Southeast Asian country is already a popular tourist destination, attracting around 35 million international visitors each year.

Drew lived in Thailand for 3 years and describes Bangkok as “the most affordable big city in the world”, which is one of the main reasons why visitors love it so much.
“One thing to do is go further north. You can go to Chiang Mai, rent a motorbike or go down to the islands of Ko Samui,” he suggests.
4. Afghanistan
Some people might be surprised that Afghanistan is so high on his list, but Drew says he loves the country and its food.

"I've been here twice and spent a total of five weeks in the country. It's so fresh. What I love about Afghanistan is that everyone wears traditional clothes. The food is delicious and it's just one of those places where you feel like you've stepped back in time.
I love visiting the old markets. Kabul is a wonderful place. The streets are so peaceful and there are really wonderful things happening," Drew emphasized.
3. Vietnam
Next up is Vietnam. Like Thailand, Vietnam is becoming increasingly popular with British tourists and is known for its stunning scenery and great value food.

Drew praises the food in his videos and recommends tourists rent motorbikes to get around the country.
"I actually lived in Hanoi for 7 months in 2017. I think Vietnam has some of the best food in the world. It's very healthy and very clean. If you have the chance, rent a motorbike and go from north to south. And it's one of the most beautiful places in the world," he concluded.
2.Iran
Viewers of his YouTube channel may also be surprised to see Iran ranked so high on the list. Despite what most people think, Drew says Iran is actually safe to visit and has many interesting sights.

“Iran is one of the most misunderstood countries in the world,” Drew said. “Everyone thinks it’s dangerous and scary, but it’s actually amazing.
The ancient Silk Road was my favorite place in Iran. It was crazy. I'm actually applying for my third Iran visa so I can go back soon."
1.Philippines
Drew ranks the Philippines as his favorite place to visit in Asia, praising its underrated cuisine and stunning beaches.

Drew said: "I spent 2 years of my life traveling in the Philippines. This is a land of more than 7,500 islands and the people are very friendly.
Food is one of the most underrated things about the Philippines in the world. And honestly, if you want the best beaches, go to the Philippines.
My favorite places are Siquijor, Bohol, Palawan, Siargao and Romblon. I hope you can come back to the Philippines as soon as possible."
