Re-collection of Nha Trang Bay entrance fees

On March 20, the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province approved a project to collect, pay, manage and use fees for visiting Nha Trang Bay. The fee level is applied uniformly to Vietnamese and foreigners.

Estimated fee for the routes: Inland waterway wharf - Hon Mieu island (Tri Nguyen island) 6,000 VND/person/trip; inland waterway wharf - Hon Tam island, inland waterway wharf - Hon Tre island (Vinpearl), inland waterway wharf - Hon Mot island all at the same price 8,000 VND/person/trip; inland waterway wharf - Hon Mun island 10,000 VND/person/trip; total of all routes 40,000 VND/person/trip.

In addition, there will be a 50% reduction in entrance fees for children from 6 to 16 years old, beneficiaries of the "cultural enjoyment preferential policy", people in particularly disadvantaged communes as stipulated in the Government's Program 135, people with revolutionary contributions and people under social policies, the elderly and students from schools in Khanh Hoa who organize tours and study.

Children under 6 years old, citizens residing in Khanh Hoa, people and tourists swimming on the mainland beaches, residents living on islands, people with disabilities, staff working at tourist attractions in Nha Trang Bay, and staff working in Nha Trang Bay are exempted from fees.

The amount of money collected from annual fee collection is expected to be about 26.4 billion VND, used to cover costs, ensure the apparatus, and operate the activities of the Nha Trang Bay Management Board.

Previously, in the period of 2004 - 2009, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Council issued 2 resolutions on collecting fees for visiting Nha Trang Bay. However, due to some problems, the Provincial People's Council issued a replacement resolution.

Since 2010, the entrance fee at Nha Trang Bay has only been applied to visitors to Hon Mun Marine Reserve.
