
The events aim to introduce the culture and customs of ethnic groups at the "Common House" of the community of 54 Vietnamese ethnic groups, contributing to promoting, preserving and developing the unique traditional cultural values of ethnic groups, and enhancing exchanges between ethnic groups.
The April activities with the participation of more than 100 people of 16 ethnic groups are active daily, including village elders, village chiefs, artisans, ethnic minorities: Tay, Nung, Dao, Mong, Muong, Lao, Thai, Kho Mu, Ta Oi, Co Tu, Xe Dang, Bahnar, Gia Rai, Raglai, E De, Khmer and ethnic minorities Xinh Mun, Ha Nhi from Son La and Lai Chau provinces...
The highlight activity “Highland rendezvous” will recreate the space of the highland market of the ethnic groups in the Northwest and Northeast with the highlight being the cultural space of the highland market with the theme “Highland rendezvous”, creating an impression for visitors to feel the atmosphere of the highland market, enjoy the cuisine, traditional specialties, ethnic culture, folk games performed and introduced by the highland subjects themselves to serve visitors. The market space is a combination of the atmosphere of going to the market, having fun with folk songs, folk dances, folk games, enjoying cuisine, products with the colors of the ethnic groups Xinh Mun, Ha Nhi, Mong…
At the market, there will be a program called “Colors of the Market” by the ethnic people with folk songs, folk dances, cultural exchanges between ethnic communities celebrating the country, praising the homeland, the national identity of the region and folk games such as: spinning tops, playing pao, playing swallows, swinging ropes, pushing sticks... Also at the market space, the Mong ethnic people will perform the art of dancing with panpipes, pounding rice cakes, printing beeswax on fabric and some traditional crafts...
Many unique festivals of ethnic groups are also recreated on this occasion such as: Re-enacting the Gau Tao festival of the Mong ethnic group; re-enacting the Ma Menh Le festival of the Xinh Mun ethnic group from Son La province; re-enacting the Rainy Season Tet of the Ha Nhi ethnic group from Lai Chau province. For the Ha Nhi people, the Rainy Season Tet (De Khu Cha) is an important festival in the life of the Ha Nhi ethnic community, held in the 5th lunar month every year when the crop work has just been completed. This is an occasion for the Ha Nhi people to pray for their ancestors to bless their descendants with good health, favorable weather, bountiful harvests, developed livestock farming and village solidarity.
In addition, the program also introduces local cultural and tourism spaces such as: Tay and Nung ethnic culture of Cao Bang province with folk songs, folk dances, Tinh lute performances, Then singing, love songs, sli singing, and luon singing; the folk song and dance program "Proud of the descendants of Dragon and Fairy" at the "Common House" to celebrate the Hung King's death anniversary on March 10; organizing exhibition activities and introducing tourism in Binh Dinh province...
On weekends, the Village will have activities to reenact excerpts of the village ghost worshiping ritual of the Kho Mu ethnic group from Son La province; art programs of the Central Highlands ethnic groups. In addition, daily activities introducing the culture, customs and practices of the ethnic groups and experiential activities at the "Common House" of the community of 54 Vietnamese ethnic groups, contributing to enhancing exchanges between ethnic groups, attracting tourists to the Cultural and Tourism Village of Vietnamese ethnic groups.
