Long Bien: Many units are late in paying insurance premiums worth billions of dong

Long Bien District Social Insurance has just announced a list of 700 units that have been late in paying social insurance, health insurance and unemployment insurance for 3 months or more. The list is updated until the end of March 2025.

These units have the lowest amount of late payment of only a few hundred thousand VND, the highest amount of up to more than 30 billion VND. The lowest number of months of late payment is 3 months, the highest is up to more than 10 years. Most units have the amount of late insurance payment ranging from several tens of millions to several hundred million VND.

Notably, there are 10 units with overdue insurance payments of more than 1 billion VND/unit. Of which, 3 construction enterprises are in debt for many years with a total amount of more than 64 billion VND.

The largest amount of late payment, up to more than 30 billion VND, belongs to Cau 12 Joint Stock Company. The unit with the highest number of months of late insurance payment on the list, up to 123 months (10 years and 3 months), is Cienco1 Construction Mechanical Joint Stock Company 121 with a total amount of late payment of nearly 20 billion VND.

Notably, a group of private preschool classes also owe insurance for 97 months with a total amount of more than 1 billion VND.

To deal with the situation of late payment and evasion of social insurance, the amended Law on Social Insurance, effective from July 1, 2025, stipulates the payment of late payment amount of 0.03%/day calculated on the amount of social insurance and unemployment insurance that is late paid, evaded and the number of days of late payment.
