Reenactment of Loy Krathong lantern festival and Songkran water splashing activity in Thai Festival 2025

According to the Thai Embassy in Hanoi, this year, Hanoi is honored to be chosen as one of the six major cities in the world to host the Thai Festival. This event aims to introduce the potential of Thailand's creative economy and promote people-to-people connections through culture, tourism and the arts.

“Thai Festival: The Pulse of Tradition” (Thai Festival 2025) will take place at the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long; open to the public from 15:00 to 21:00 on March 28 and from 10:00 to 21:00 on the two weekends (March 29-30).

During the 3-day event, Hanoians will have the opportunity to explore the Thai cultural space combining modernity and tradition through many exciting activities. Thai Festival 2025 in Hanoi brings traditional dances from various regions of Thailand, in addition to the participation of SISMA - a girl group representing the modern T-Pop wave. These performances will be a bridge between tradition and creativity, helping the audience experience diverse and unforgettable music right in the heart of the capital.

Thai Festival 2025 will recreate the Songkran water splashing activity.

The highlight of Thai Festival 2025 is the digital Loy Krathong festival and the Songkran water festival - one of the most vibrant and unique festivals in Asia, recognized by UNESCO, featuring exciting water splashing. Visitors will have the opportunity to experience wearing traditional Thai costumes at the event and participate in the daily lucky draw program, with the chance to win valuable prizes such as air tickets to Thailand.

Not only that, the festival also offers special screenings of two famous Thai films: "Love Destiny the Movie" - the film will take the audience back in time to discover a fateful love story at 6pm on March 29 and the comedy - thriller "404 Run Run" at 6pm on March 30. Notably, the main actor Ter Chantavit Dhanasevi will be present at the festival to interact with the audience.
