From “forgotten” to the world's top iconic tourist destination
“I regret not choosing Ba Na for the first days of exploring Vietnam, but it is true that we have to save the best things for the last experience. This is a great destination, not only invested in money, but also full of energy and unique ideas” - That is the comment about Sun World Ba Na Hills by Astro Arena TV (Malaysia) recently, which seems to have somewhat described the irresistible appeal of the tourist area on the top of Chua Mountain for international visitors.
But few people know that before 2009, there was a Ba Na that only welcomed an average of 30,000-40,000 visitors each year, and there was not even a restaurant on the mountain. Until the Sun Group Corporation awakened the Chua Mountain with the first cable car project opened on March 25, 2009.

Up to now, every year, even every month, Ba Na Hills has new things, making tourists never get bored. The slogan "Ba Na Hills - the road to paradise" has maintained its value for the past 15 years. And Ba Na is now not only a favorite destination for domestic tourists but also becomes a top-class international destination, establishing its own position on the world tourism map.
This tourist area has been awarded the title of "Asia's Leading Theme Park" by the World Travel Awards (WTA) for four consecutive years, and in 2020-2021, it was honored by WTA as "World's Leading Iconic Tourist Attraction" and "World's Leading Iconic Tourist Bridge" for the Golden Bridge.

A Ba Na that is constantly changing
Sharing at the 10th Anniversary of Sun World Ba Na Hills tourist area in 2018, Mr. Le Trung Chinh - Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City (currently Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City) expressed: "Ba Na Hills is one of the clear evidences for the role of the private economy in the development of Da Nang tourism in particular and Da Nang economy in general. We hope that in the near future, together with Sun World Ba Na Hills, Da Nang hopes to have many other attractive destinations, to keep tourists staying in the city longer."
And true to that expectation, Sun World Ba Na Hills constantly innovates every day, to give visitors reasons to come and return to this place.

From the first cable car line No. 1, the "fairyland" has had many new items with flower gardens blooming all year round, ancient castles with European architecture like coming out of fairy tales, vibrant festivals and shows every day, an extremely rich culinary world and unique, classy entertainment works and products only available in Ba Na, along with attractive experiences day and night.
In 2018, Sun World Ba Na Hills also brought the name of Da Nang to global coverage, becoming a desired destination for many international tourists, since the legendary Golden Bridge was born.
