(PLVN) - In the first days of Spring, from February 1 (the 4th day of the Lunar New Year), Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh had a work program to inspect a number of important national and key projects.
Three of the important projects that the Prime Minister visited were Long Thanh International Airport (Dong Nai province); the construction project of Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 at Tan Van intersection and Nhon Trach bridge (Dong Nai province); and the T3 Terminal project of Tan Son Nhat Airport (Ho Chi Minh City).
Direct reports have shown the working atmosphere during Tet at some construction sites. For example, at the Long Thanh airport project, there were nearly 4,000 cadres and workers staying at the construction site during Tet. Or at the Tan Son Nhat T3 terminal project, there were about 600 cadres and workers staying to work.
Tet is one of the most important events of the year for everyone and every family; however, to meet work requirements, construction sites still work in 3 shifts, 4 shifts, through holidays, Tet, and holidays "overcoming the sun, overcoming the rain, not losing to storms"... That is something extremely valuable and admirable.
And the head of the Government, on the fourth day of Tet, did not have a day off, but went to a number of construction sites to encourage and give Tet gifts to cadres and workers; inspected, urged, continued to grasp and remove difficulties and obstacles, and promoted the progress of projects; which also moved public opinion no less.
Another noteworthy detail is that with the Long Thanh airport project, this is the 6th time Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has visited the construction site to encourage, inspect, and supervise in the past 3 years. With the T3 terminal project, not counting the project commencement, this is the 3rd time the Prime Minister has visited to inspect and urge.
The Prime Minister's suggestions and instructions at construction sites during his early spring inspection trip also attracted great attention from the public; with very in-depth and clear content, clearly assigning people, tasks, time, responsibilities, and products.
With specialized equipment in the aviation sector having to be placed overseas, the Prime Minister directed investors to go to the supplier's factory to work, speeding up the progress. Units must study the plan to arrange the construction site reasonably to simultaneously deploy the project items, avoiding overlap and hindering the progress.
Regarding raw materials, we must provide directly to contractors, without intermediaries; reclaim mines that have expired or are not operating in accordance with regulations, take advantage of hoarding, profiteering, and price gouging; strictly handle cases as a deterrent.
Regarding any difficulties and problems that arise, the Prime Minister requested ministries, branches, localities, investors, contractors, etc. to report to a Deputy Prime Minister who has been assigned the task to resolve them immediately.
In some of the above-mentioned national key projects, it is noted that all organizations and individuals have made great efforts in implementing the project with the spirit of "only discussing work, not backtracking", overcoming many difficulties and obstacles, "eating quickly, sleeping urgently", working "3 shifts, 4 shifts", bringing about results exceeding the schedule...
The first days of Spring entering a new working year, the spirit and energy spreading from the head of the Government and the officials and workers at the construction sites make people across the country firmly believe that the country will have a new year with new vitality and new success!
