Although Terrarium has only recently become popular, many people are pursuing the hobby. Understanding the demand, Ms. Ly has researched, learned, successfully tested and built a business store called Amazon Green on Le Loi Street (Tam Ky City).
According to Ms. Ly, Terrarium is a miniature model of a natural ecosystem consisting of soil, rock, water and air elements inside a closed space, creating a living environment for plants and small animals to grow naturally. Terrarium tanks are like a small garden that can be brought into the house or on the desk corner without spending much time taking care of it.
To complete a Terrarium, players start with an idea, then choose the necessary materials, design the background, layout, and then arrange and display them in the appropriate position.
Right from the preparation stage, Ms. Ly had to learn and understand the knowledge about the characteristics and lifestyle of each type of plant and organism that she used. Before choosing plants to put in the Terrarium, she also cared for and raised them in a similar environment, monitored their growth and then planted them.
“From planting each small tree in the vase, picking up each pebble and rock, until they grow day by day and develop stably, it takes a very long time. Therefore, to pursue this sport, I think players must have patience and dexterity, especially a passion for plants to be able to create the most beautiful models” - Ms. Ly shared.
With the desire to spread positive energy and bring people closer to nature, at the end of 2023, Ms. Ly built a "green space" to sell Terrarium products. Struggling due to lack of funding and human resources, it was not until August 2024 that Amazon Green stabilized the market.
Ms. Ly's products are inspired and handmade, with prices ranging from 200,000 VND to several million VND per product.
In addition to her business, Ly also spends her weekends organizing Terrarium Workshops to create connections and open spaces for many people to participate. Although it has only been implemented for a short time, Ly was quite surprised when many people signed up to participate, especially young people.
"I am very happy to convey the message of green living and loving nature to young people, helping them have more positive energy after stressful hours of work and study" - Ms. Ly shared.
