Exciting 2024 Nhan Dan Newspaper Trade Union Sports Tournament

NDO - The 2024 Nhan Dan Newspaper Trade Union Sports Tournament is organized to create an exciting and enthusiastic atmosphere to compete to excellently complete tasks and enhance cooperation and mutual understanding among union members and trade unions under the Nhan Dan Newspaper Trade Union.

Implementing the 2024 Trade Union Activity Plan, on the occasion of the 99th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2024), the 30th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Civil Servants' Trade Union (July 2, 1994 - July 2, 2024), the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2024), on June 14, at the Headquarters of the Editorial Department of Nhan Dan Newspaper (71 Hang Trong, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi), the Nhan Dan Newspaper Trade Union organized the 2024 Nhan Dan Newspaper Trade Union Sports Tournament with the participation of a large number of union members of affiliated trade unions in 4 events: Tug of war; table tennis; Chinese chess and badminton.

The event was held at the Nhan Dan Newspaper campus.

The atmosphere was exciting and bustling at the Nhan Dan Newspaper Headquarters during the competition.

The tug of war was exciting and thrilling with the participation of 8 teams. After many rounds of intense competition, the first prize went to the Trade Union of Hanoi People's Newspaper Printing Company Limited; the second prize went to the Trade Union of the Executive Board and the Trade Union of the People's Television Center won the third prize.

Many union members of the Trade Unions under the Nhan Dan Newspaper Trade Union enthusiastically cheered for the athletes at the competitions.

With the participation of 7 athletes, Chinese Chess is also one of the new features of the 2024 Nhan Dan Newspaper Trade Union Sports Tournament.

Athletes compete under the impartial direction of veteran journalists and in accordance with the competition rules of the World Chess Federation.

Besides tug of war, badminton is also a sport with the participation of many union members from unions under the Nhan Dan Newspaper Union.

At this year's tournament, 18 athletes competed in two events: men's doubles and mixed doubles.

The athlete pair Le Hien Trung and Dang Mai Huong performed excellently when they won the mixed doubles event after overcoming many strong opponents throughout the tournament.

One of the strengths of the Nhan Dan Newspaper sports movement is table tennis. Not only attracting members of the Nhan Dan Newspaper Table Tennis Club, this year's tournament also had the participation of many union members who love this sport from affiliated trade union units.

The matches were exciting with many beautiful plays from the amateur athletes of Nhan Dan Newspaper.
