This morning, July 18, the Propaganda Department of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee chaired and coordinated with the Department of Information and Communications and the Provincial Journalists Association to organize a conference to review press work in the first 6 months of the year and deploy tasks for the last 6 months of 2024. The report of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department stated that in the first 6 months of 2024, press direction and management work was strengthened, with innovations bringing practical results and efficiency.

In particular, local press agencies have strictly followed the direction of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee and functional agencies in the direction of propaganda, continued to innovate and improve the quality of press products to serve political tasks and meet the information and entertainment needs of the people. Local press has reflected clearly, honestly and promptly the important developments in the political, economic and social life of the province.

The quality of press information has generally improved, comprehensively reflecting all areas of the locality, contributing to meeting the diverse information needs of the people. The publishing and distribution work of press agencies in the province has been well implemented. Local press platforms, especially electronic newspapers and electronic information pages, have gradually become official information channels leading to social networking sites of agencies, units, organizations, and socio-political organizations in the province.

Resident press agencies and the team of central, provincial and sectoral reporters operating in the area have closely followed the area, been quick to grasp information, and reflected local events and activities; actively promoted the image of Quang Tri to a wide range of readers and audiences nationwide; promptly reflected "hot" issues arising in the area, contributed increasingly effectively to the province's propaganda work and participated in mobilizing social resources, contributing to the province's development...

At the conference, representatives of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department and press agencies discussed and exchanged limitations and difficulties in the process of working and implementing propaganda work.

At the same time, deploy key tasks and solutions for the remaining 6 months of 2024. For press management and leadership agencies, continue to research and innovate the direction and management of press activities in the province in performing the responsibility of speaking and providing information to the press according to regulations; strengthen the responsibility of press management agencies in educating political ideology and professional ethics for cadres and reporters of local press agencies.

For local and central press agencies, resident reporters continue to propagate the results achieved in implementing the Resolution of the 17th Provincial Party Congress and Party congresses at all levels for the 2020-2025 term and the 5-year Plan 2021-2025; tasks, solutions, and issues arising from now until the end of the term; activities of the Festival for Peace in 2024...

Concluding the conference, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department Ho Dai Nam provided some information on the implementation of socio-economic development targets, policies, investment attraction orientations, plans to implement key projects in the province...
