The Communications Department of the State Bank of Vietnam in collaboration with the Banking Academy organizes a series of financial education communication events in 2024 with the theme "Smart Money". The series of events is for students studying in Hanoi and neighboring areas.

According to the Payment Department (State Bank), the goal of the event series is to equip students with basic knowledge of finance and banking; history of Vietnamese currency, understanding the value of money; guidance on how to access banking products and services, notes on borrowing from banks to improve people's access to official capital sources, and reduce black credit;

At the same time, students are also equipped with knowledge about legal regulations on savings, instructions on procedures and processes for depositing savings, notes and warnings for people in depositing savings; legal regulations on payment activities, introduction and instructions on how to use payment products and services; notes and warnings in using payment services to ensure safety and avoid risks for users; protect the rights of consumers using banking and financial products and services...

The series of events "Smart Money" in 2024 includes many activities such as: talk show to learn about Vietnamese currency; discussion on financial education for students; financial knowledge contest; booth exhibition; minigame competitions on outdoor stage; grand concert program to welcome new students; student supermarket and lucky draw program with thousands of gifts;...

The Communications Department (State Bank) believes that improving people's financial knowledge and financial education is an urgent requirement today. Financial education for young people is an important step. Financial education in a simple, easy-to-understand, easy-to-remember, and easy-to-access way will help students understand personal financial management, consumer orientation, avoid black credit risks, and contribute to creating a foundation for a stable and sustainable financial future.

Through the program, students will learn basic information and knowledge about consumer credit, cashless payments and notes to protect themselves from risks when using financial products and services.

In particular, with the participation of 4 best teams from leading universities in the Northern region, the Financial Literacy competition will help young people accumulate a lot of useful knowledge about banking and finance, know how to approach and use financial products and services, understand student loan products and know how to avoid black credit traps....

In addition, operating continuously for two days, October 1-2, nearly 30 booths from commercial banks, financial companies, payment intermediaries... promise to bring many unique and special experiences. Here, students will be introduced to and learn about financial services and products, and learn how to use modern banking and financial products, in order to increase their practical experiences.
